Miami Declares October 13th “Sean Diddy Combs Day”

On Thursday October 13th, Mayor Philip Levine announced that day would officially be called “Sean Diddy Combs Day.”

The day was declared during Diddy’s 3rd annual Revolt Music Conference in Miami.  RMC is an event that gets together tons of huge names in the entertainment industry for panel discussions, music performances, and general networking.

DJ Khaled also received a key to the city of Miami from Mayor Levine at the beginning of the RMC.  It was a big night and a big honor for the two rappers at the RMC this year.

New Music: E-40 “I’m On One”

E-40’s new track will have everyone at the club turning up.  “On One” feat. AD is the definition of hyphy. E-40 keeps it classic with his Bay Area beats.  E-40 is about to drop a 42-track double album called The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2.  The album features artists such as G-Eazy, Nef the Pharoh, Gucci Mane, AD, Joe Moses, Casey Veggies.  Make sure to cop your copy November 18.  This is going to be such an epic and legendary album.

Lil Wayne “Tha Carter V”

We are highly anticipating Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V.  In a recent with The New York Times Wayne discusses Tha Carter V. “It’s done, sitting and wrapped as is. I just listened to it for the first time in months the other day. I had forgotten every single word on it, because I work every day. I popped it in, and I was like, it’s still so much better than everything I’ve ever heard. Not what’s going on right now — everything I’ve ever heard.”

Wayne just released his book Gone ‘Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island.  The book is about his time locked up and the experiences he had while in prison.  Check out Lil Wayne’s full interview here.

Drake and Rihanna Split Again

Drake and Rihanna seem to have been going strong since the reports of their matching tattoos and kissing on national television at the VMAs.  Since then, rumor has it that the two have now split. A close source to the couple said the two have been seeing other people and doing their own thing because of their busy schedules.

Drake has been seen hanging out with India Love, who has previously dated The Game, at the Toronto Blue Jays game. Is he actually replacing Rihanna with India Love?  Get it together, Drake.

J. Cole’s Twitter Gets Hacked

An unknown user hacked J. Cole’s Twitter account and posted a tweet saying Kim K’s incident in Paris was pulling a publicity stunt and faked the robbery. The hacker tweeted out more nasty tweets which made it obvious that it wasn’t the real J. Cole.

The rapper was hacked earlier this year as well.  Is J. Cole just bad at picking passwords or what? Hint: Try not to use your birthday.

By midnight, Cole’s Twitter had gone back to normal.

Chance the Rapper Gets a Feature in New Kit Kat Jingle

MANCHESTER, TN - JUNE 13: Chance the Rapper performs on the

Kit Kat picked up Chance the Rapper to be featured in their new upcoming jingle.

The infamous Kit Kat song is expected to incorporate the newly blown up artist as an addition to the classic melody. In the picture posted by Kit Kat on their twitter, it features Chance in a bear suit representing his signature “3” hat holding a Kit Kat bar with the pun “Chance the Wrapper” and a picture of his face.

The picture also suggests there will be a Halloween commercial featuring Lil Chano. The new jingle is said to be “dropping soon.”

Dave East Member to Def Jam

Dave East is the newest signee on the major Def Jams label.

East was first introduced by Nas as his prodigy while signed to Mass Appeal records. But today on the Breakfast Club he announced his signing while also announcing that he has some projects in the works with Kairi Chanel which is slated to be released in 2017 from the Def Jams Lable.

Jay-Z Partners with The Weinstein Company

There isn’t much not on Jay-Z’s job list, and he can now add tv/film producer. It was announced today he signed a two year production deal with TWC & they will exclusive rights to on any of his film or tv projects.

HOV commented, “I’m excited to tell stories from real life prophets, whom through their struggles have changed the world for the better, and others whose stories are filled with fantasy and delight. Harvey and David are visionaries both of whom have done this time and time again. I’m already passionate about what we currently have in the pipeline and I’m looking forward to discovering others.”

Can’t wait to see what HOV has in the mix.
