Kendrick Lamar Will Be On A Tribe Called Quests Final Album

Last week A Tribe Called Quest announced they would be releasing one final album and now we know some of the artists that will be featured.

The list includes Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rhymes, Andre 3000, and more. The album sounds amazing, and the wait will be short with the album arriving November 11th.

Lupe Fiasco Fires Back at Kid Cudi

Lupe Fiasco took it to Twitter to say how he really felt.  He posted sometime after Kid Cudi saying “what part of ‘rehab’ is calling people p***ies and asking for fades?! Rehab is checking your own problems not this sh*t.”  The rapper had no problem making his own opinion about the Drake and Cudi beef.

Kid Cudi and Fiasco have had an odd relationship for a while now. Last year, the Man on the Moon criticized Lupe for selling personalized verses for fans online.  On “Sway in the Morning” last year in January, Fiasco called out Cudi saying “let’s settle this… talk to me before I f**k you up.”

Kid Cudi has not responded to Fiasco’s tweet and Cudi has taken down his Twitter post to Drake

Ty Dolla $ign Reportedly Owes IRS Over $180,000

Ty Dolla $ign reportedly owes over $180,000 in back taxes.

The Campaign rapper is exactly $180,969.35 in the hole for not paying the proper amount of taxes for 3 years in a row. The government needs $16,617.05 for 2011, $54,626.91 for 2013, and $109,725.39 for 2014 to fully pay off his debt.  It’s pretty obvious how significant the difference is between each year since Ty’s popularity after his 2012 album drop of Beach House.

Let’s hope Ty can get that paper and pay the IRS what they need.

Donald Glover Gets Role in Upcoming ‘Star Wars’ Movie

Recently, it was announced Glover received the role of Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo film.

Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller said, “we’re so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us.”  The Atlanta creator will have to deal with filming the second season of Atlanta as well as filming, but accommodations are being made for the series and the movie.  Billy Dee Williams, the original Calrissian, played the role in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Kanye West Posts Birthday Video for Kim

Kanye West posted a 5-minute video montage on Twitter on Friday for Kim’s birthday.  The video consisted of old homemade videos of Kim and other family members including her dad, Robert Kardashian, and ended with the words “I Love You.” All of Kim’s family wished her a happy birthday on their social media accounts, but Kanye’s post seemed to take the cake with the best birthday post.

Kim herself did not respond via social media to her husband’s video.

Nicki Minaj Meets Idol Lauryn Hill and Talks New Album

It seems like all things fall into place for Nicki Minaj. Last weekend, the artist performed at the TIDAL X: 1015 charity show and she surprised her fans when she started twerking on stage to Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen.” This weekend, at the show, the rapper finally got to meet Lauryn Hill. Meeting her idol was a moment that she described as “surreal” and she showed her love and respect for Lauryn by bowing before her.

Nicki Minaj and Fetty Wap are currently working on a collaboration and it seems like the female rapper is also cooking up ideas for a new album, “Epic.” But in an interview, Minaj says that the album represents a long journey and that she has many things to complete before she can fully concentrate on the new project. For now, the rapper is focusing on working on and releasing many features soon, as she believes that that’s the perfect time to show off as a rapper.
During her interview, she was asked about Meek Mill’s beefs, which she thinks that are completely over, saying “everybody’s over it. Come on. It’s pretty played out. It’s over.”
Well… we’re excited to hear new music and can’t wait to see what features she’s preparing for us.

Kanye West Calls Out Rappers for Copying

During his concert in Alberta, Canada, West called out rappers for using his stage design idea by saying “this the original, accept no imitations” and continued with “you with the rap God right now. N****s be copying my shit bro. Stealin’ our shit, stealin’ stages. Copying our shit one-to-one.”  Yeezus was definitely letting everyone know how he felt, but, yet again, when does he not?

A lot of people are speculating Yeezy is referring to one of Drake’s stage set ups during his Summer Sixteen Tour.   People believe that Kanye was referring to Drake as being the main suspect because he made the announcement in Canada, Drake’s home court.

An album called Days Before Birds was dropped by Travi$ Scott early Friday morning, but there’s confirmation by Epic Records that it is not an official release by Scott.

The album appeared on the streaming music services on Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play.  Travi$ went to Twitter later that morning to confirm to his fans that he in fact did not drop an album.

The rep for Epic Records confirmed to Complex that this is not an official release from Scott and it is in the process of being taken down from the streaming music services.
