Video: Ryan Leslie – Glory

So I’m back from Coachella feelin’ a little under the weather, but with an amazing tan. I guess this cold is a small price to pay for having the time of your life. So its all good.

Anyways, as huge R.Les fan myself, I was thrilled to see/hear the latest from Mr. Leslie, which dropped this morning. Check out the first single “Glory” off his new album, Les Is More, which is slated to be released July 4th.

Audio: Santigold ft. Karen O (Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs) – Go!

Definitely excited for more new music from Ms. Santi White, who just recently signed to Roc Nation.

Santigold: In this song, “GO” has a dual meaning. On one hand it’s a challenge, beckoning any would-be usurpers to come show and prove. On the other, it’s a call to myself to rise to the occasion. “Go” is a “fun” song. It’s playful, but like many of my songs, lyrically it was an opportunity for me to vent. It’s about the difficulties of holding onto what’s yours, everything from your ideas and energy, to your confidence.

Video: MTV News’ New West Week – Snoop Dogg Reps The West (Teaser)

This Monday, April 18th, MTV News will be kicking off “New West Week” which will serve as an in-depth look at the hip-hop scene in LA and will be showcasing some of Los Angeles’ most buzzed about hip-hop talent.

Take a look at the clip above to hear Snoop discuss his role in the west-coast scene.

It should be obvious by the name of this site that we are all born and raised west coaster’s, who take pride in our city and everything it has to offer. Which is why MTV’s upcoming profile of the Los Angeles’ hip-hop scene, is something we are all very excited about… And to quote my counter-part Janice, “It’s about damn time!”

More to come.

Video: Salt-N-Pepa – Performance on Oprah (What A Man/Shoop/Push It)

So, I’m already in a GREAT mood today, due to the fact that in 10 short hours I will be on my way to Coachella for what I’m positive will prove to be an amazing f’ing weekend. And just when I think my day can’t get any better, I come across this little gem!!

The Trio hit Oprah’s stage yesterday and performed a medley of sorts featuring “What A Man”, “Shoop”, and “Push It”.

I can’t even express in words how insanely happy this performance just made me. Love.
