Vic Mensa Torches Prodigy’s “Keep It Thoro” While Calling Out The XXL Freshman Class On #Freestyle016

Screen Shot 2017-06-13 at 7.33.47 PM

Every time Vic Mensa comes up to freestyle for the LA Leakers it’s a problem. Last time the Chicago MC rolled up he torched ScHoolboy Q’s “THat Part.” This time  it’s no different as he spit some barbaric rhymes over Prodigy’s classic “Keep It Thoro” instrumental.

Vic kicked things off by threatening to slap any rapper that “claims” they’re better than Pac. From there, he goes on to speak his mind about the XXL Freshman Class saying, “Shoutout to XXL Freshman slow class / Ima drop out tho pick your crew better / I love you Vanessa (XXL EIC) but you know it’s time to do better.”

The whole freestyle is just filled with gems and other shots. I love how Vic isn’t scared to speak his mouth and how aggressive he gets on freestyles. Just press play below and hear for yourself. I’m done talking.

Vic Mensa Performs “16 Shots” On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” [WATCH]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAfr5cuJOxE

On the heels of Election Night, Vic Mensa performed his politically-raged “16 Shots” single off ‘There’s Alot Going On’ on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night.

With Travis Barker on the drums, Vic ripped through the strong lyrics putting an emphasis on social injustices and racism. During the performance Mensa is tackled by acting S.W.A.T. team officers, before he stops his performance to share some thoughts.

“I’m a young black man from Chicago and I’m tired of not being able to trust the police. I want to have faith in the men and women sworn to protect me. I don’t want to see another 17-year-old kid like Laquan McDonald murdered in the street,” he said before taking a shot a Trump. “Tomorrow we have the biggest election of our lifetime, so you gotta get out and vote against hate, because Donald Trump is a racist and if you don’t vote, racism wins.”

Other rappers like YG, Nipsey Hussle, and Jay-Z have also expressed their dislike of the Republican presidential candidate. It’s good to see high-profile artists use their platform to try to create change and make a difference.

Get out and vote!
