Vic Mensa blazed an L.A. Leakers freestyle earlier this year with #Freestyle047, but he wasn’t done. Vic Mensa drops his new EP ‘Hooligans’, where he shows his dark side and experiments with his sound dabbling into the emo realm.
On it he enlists G-Eazy for “Reverse,” Ty Dolla $ign on “In Some Trouble,” fellow Chi Town spitter G Herbo appears on “Rowdy,” Charlie Wilson on “The 1 That Got Away / No Shoes,” Mr. Hudson on “Deserve It,” and Jesse on “Dancing in the Streetz.”
Vic Mensa isn’t here for the bullsh*t and is putting the controversy he’s taken in the public eye behind him as he focuses on his music. With a new project on the way, Vic gangs up with fellow Chicago spitter, G Herbo on his new joint “Rowdy.”
This coming Friday, December 14th Vic will be dropping his upcoming ‘Hooligans’ project.
Vic Mensa has made a lot of headlines this week with his controversial BET Cypher where he took some shots at the late XXXtentaction. Following the backlash the Chicago rapper is asking the masses to show him “Empathy.”
Pouring his heart out to listeners, Vic lets them know that even he himself sometimes needs to have compassion and empathy for others and their feelings. On the BET freestyle he rapped, “Only time you bear arms is in a wifebeater, loser / Your favorite rapper’s a domestic abuser,” rapped Mensa. “I don’t respect ni**as posthumously / Homicide ain’t new to me,” referencing XXX.
