RZA Announces New Wu-Tang Album [PEEP]

It’s been about three years since the Wu-Tang Clan released their last collaborative album, ‘A Better Tomorrow’. The legendary supergroup is ready to give fans another album apparently, with RZA announcing the forthcoming, ‘Wu-Tang Clan: The Saga Continues.’

A few days ago the Wu dropped the first single off the album, “People Say” featuring Redman. If the single is any indication of what to expect from the album, you won’t be disappointed. RZA will executive produce the album, while DJ Mathematics will produce from front to back.

Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Bobby Digital, Raekwon, Inspektah Deck, Masta Killa, ODB, Redman, and Sean Price, and others will all be featured on the album.

“For years, Math has had the idea of putting together a body of music using modern and legendary equipment such as ASR10 with vocal performances by Wu-Tang Clan members and other prominent MCs,” said RZA. “With The Saga Continues, he’s created a masterpiece. We at 36 Chambers ALC are honored to work with Mathematics to put out a great piece of art.”

‘Wu-Tang Clan: The Saga Continues‘ will be released as part of a new partnership between 36 Chambers ALC and eOne Music. As of now the album is slated to be released October 13th.

SZA Announces Release Date For ‘CTRL’ [PEEP]

It’s been a long road filled with delays and other issues en route to the release of SZA’s debut album ‘CTRL’. Months after the highly-anticipated album was announced, fans finally get the release date they’ve been waiting for.

In an unexpected Twitter post, TDE founder, Top Dawg shared a video of SZA, narrated by RZA. The 30-second video includes the release date of June 9th for the songstress’ album. ‘CTRL’, which puts SZA’s past relationships in perspective with relatable tracks like “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott and “Drew Barrymore”, has already received tremendous acclaim from fans.

The delays already endured, are sure to make this album as close to perfect as possible. Watch the trailer below.

RZA Pays Tribute To Paul Walker With “Destiny Bends” (Audio)

Over the weekend, the world was in shock to hear the tragic news about the passing of Paul Walker, who died in a car crash while attending a charity event in Valencia, California on Saturday afternoon. Paul was set to appear with RZA in a new movie “Brick Mansions” next year.

This song, entitled “Destiny Bends” was written last night after hearing the tragic news of the loss of a good man named Paul Walker. I met Paul on the set of the film Brick Mansion, where we talked, laughed, and exchanged ideas of life and fatherhood. I only knew him personally for less than a year, but we knew each other through our work and art. We saw in each other a kindred spirit of men coming from unlikely circumstances, and rising to be the light and beacon of our family and loved ones. Men who learned the joy and pains of love in life, and success, while coming to realize that nothing is more important than family, friendship, and the brotherhood of humanity. Millions of people get to know an artist or movie star through their work, but few are allowed to cross each others’ paths and see through the veil of stardom and find the common denominator that we share. As all physical things will decay and wither away, film, art, and music remain longer than the vessel that delivered them. In this vein, the one thing we can’t take away or give back is time. So, thus, time is the most precious gift. I dedicated my time to compose this song with my two sons and new friend Will Wells, who was kind enough to sing and perform it for me. We dedicate it to Paul Walker. A good man. We had plans to continue working with each other in the future. It seemed destined, but “destiny bends”.

The Black Keys & RZA – The Baddest Man Alive (Video)

What do you do when there’s only one fortune cookie on the table after a fabolous (spelled that way because this is a hip-hop site) meal? You fight for it. Dan and Patrick of The Black Keys and hip-hop’s kung-fu master RZA fight to the death for their destiny (written inside the fortune cookie) in the viral for “The Baddest Man Alive.” I already have November 2nd marked on my calendar for The Man With The Iron Fists release and if this music video is any indication on how entertaining the film will be, then *phew* it’s shaping up to my high expectations.
