List Of 2019 GRAMMY Award Winners Of The Culture [PEEP]

All the stars aligned last night at the STAPLES Center for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. There were a lot of major headlines for the culture in the record-breaking night as Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” became the first rap song to win “Song of the Year” and Cardi B became the first female to win “Best Rap Album” for ‘Invasion of Privacy’.

Aside from all that there were lit performances from Travis Scott, Cardi B, Post Malone, Ella Mai, and more. Drake delivered a very woke GRAMMY speech after picking up the award for “Best Rap Song.”

“Know we play in an opinion-based sport, not a factual-based sport. It is not the NBA… This is a business where sometimes it is up to a bunch of people that might not understand what a mixed race kid from Canada has to say… or a brother from Houston right there, my brother Travis. You’ve already won if you have people who are singing your songs word for word, if you are a hero in your hometown. If there is people who have regular jobs who are coming out in the rain, in the snow, spending their hard-earned money to buy tickets to come to your shows, you don’t need this right here, I promise you, you already won,” he said.

Check out the full list of winners from the culture below.

Uncle Murda Gives All The Highlights Of 2018 On His “Rap Up 2018” [LISTEN]

Uncle Murda took a page out of Mad Skillz book last year when he released his own version of the yearly “Rap Up.” The G-Unit rapper comes through with “Rap Up 2018,” which is a little more in-depth than Skillz and also very entertaining.

Over 9-minutes Murda gives his year-end recap with hilarious lines that float bar-for-bar. Rapping over a combination of soulful beats that were assembled by a combination of Great John, DJ Clue, Myles William, and Mister Neek.

Every bar on this track talks about the year that was, so it might be a lot to digest. It was a tumultuous year in hip-hop and this talks about the winners and losers. There’s some heavy smoke bars in there for MAGA supporter Kanye West, Young Buck, and even Dwight Howard.

All the beefs in 2018 are put under a microscope as well as Drake’s baby reveal, Lil Wayne and Birdman putting their beef aside, Juelz pulling up to the airport with a gun, Rondo smacking CP3, LeBron coming to the Lakers, Donald Dump’s BS, Tekashi 6ix9ine’s antics and imprionment, Nip’s “Victory Slap,” the losses of rappers, Bill Cosby, the Kardashians, and more.

While he waits for Drake to respond to his scathing, vicious “The Life of Adidon” diss track, Pusha T took the time to do some album promoting by hitting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for a performance of his ‘Daytona’ opening track, “If You Know You Know.”

New Music: Pusha T – “The Story Of Adidon” [LISTEN]

Shit just escalated in the Drake and Pusha T beef saga with the ‘Daytona’ rapper coming back with a vicious response to The 6 God’s recent “Duppy Freestyle” on “The Story of Adidon.”

Over JAY-Z’s “The Story of O.J.” instrumental, King Push gets extra personal coming for Drake’s mom, dad, OVO 40, and raises questions about his alleged baby with a porn star (LOW BLOWS!). Adidon is actually Drake’s alleged baby with Sophie Brussaux, who is an ex video vixen and has appeared in some adult films.

Pusha T Brings The Bars On ‘Daytona’ Album [PEEP]

Since early 2017 the industry has been anticipating a new Pusha T album. The follow-up to 2015’s ‘King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude’ album was over a year in the making and includes a solid 7-tracks.

‘Daytona’ was originally titled ‘King Push’, but Pusha made the name change just days before saying,  “I changed the album title from “King Push” to “DAYTONA” because I felt it didn’t represent the overall message of this body of work.”

The first G.O.O.D. Music release out of Wyoming includes only two features from Rick Ross on the drug dealing reminiscent “Hard Piano” and Kanye West on the Meek Mill-inspired “What Would Meek Do?”.

On the scathing closing track of the album “Infrared,” Push takes shots at the Cash Money/Young Money camp, most notably Drake rapping, “It was written like Nas but it came from Quentin / At the mercy of a game where the culture’s missing / When the CEO’s blinded by the glow, it’s different / Believe in myself and the Coles and Kendricks / Let the sock puppets play in their roles and gimmicks, shit.”

It’s safe to say Kanye West was happy with the album off a tweet where he said, “Daytona is the first project out of Wyoming. I’m really proud of what we put together. We’ve spent a year and a half digging for samples and writing. I really appreciate the overwhelmingly positive response that we’ve been receiving.”

“DAYTONA” represents the fact that I have the luxury of time. That luxury only comes when u have a skill set that your confident in,” he continues.

Moments after sharing the new title and explaining the meaning of the album, Push unveiled the 7-song track listing, which includes features from Rick Ross on “Hard Piano” and Ye on “What Would Meek Do?”
