New Video: A$AP Rocky – “RAF” Feat. Quavo & Playboi Carti [WATCH]

Turning a fashion show into a music video, A$AP Rocky, Quavo, and Playboi Carti show off their collection of RAF SIMONS clothing in the visuals for “RAF,” which also features Frank Ocean and Lil Uzi Vert. The latter duo does not appear in the video however.

Filled with trippy cutouts and VHS-like, grainy film Rocky, Quavo, and Carti perform their verses while trying on different “RAF” cuts. The video could have easily been part of a RAF SIMONS campaign.

XXL Drops MadeinTYO, Playboi Carti, XXXtentaction & Ugly God’s Freshman Cypher [WATCH]

With Sonny Digital on the track, MadeinTYO, Playboi Carti, XXXtentaction, and Ugly God show off the skills that made them worthy of earning their spot on this year’s XXL Freshman cover. The four rappers rap their asses off in their Freshman Cypher.

Carti leads things off spitting gang-related bars, before MadeinTYO gets off with quick-striking lines. Ugly God then steps forward with raps about his fashion and his bitch. XXXtentaction closes things out with an a’capella flow similar to his Freshman Freestyle.

Monday XXL dropped A Boogie, Aminé, and KYLE’s cypher. Later this week they will drop the final cypher which will include Kap G, Kamaiyah, and PnB Rock.

New Video: Playboi Carti – “Magnolia” [WATCH]

If you were to ask people what the hottest songs of the year are, I guarantee Playboi Carti’s “Magnolia” would come up. The Pierre Bourne-produced track has caught notoriety fast and been remixed by countless rappers.

After weeks of anticipation, Carti finally delivers the visuals for the single off his self-titled debut album. The Atlanta rapper takes it to New York in the drizzling video for “Magnolia,” with cameos from A$AP Rocky, Nav, and a whole star-studded cast. Running from street corners to nightclubs and barbershops, Carti shows off his Milly Rock in NYC.

XXL Shares Playboi Carti’s Freshman Freestyle [WATCH]

With A Boogie and PnB Rock’s freestyles already in the fold, XXL shares Playboi Carti’s Freshman freestyle. The Atlanta rapper is one of the standouts in this year’s class and his success has been plateaued by his self-titled debut project, which breeded hits “Wokeuplikethis” and “Magnolia”.

The freestyle sounds like it is a rendition of the latter single and many people on the socials have been hollering about it. Check it out below and tell us what you think in the comments.

Playboi Carti Performs “Magnolia” On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” [WATCH]

Playboi Carti has impressed a lot of people and opened a lot of eyes on his recently-released self-titled, debut album. One of the singles off the album that has created a lot of hype is “Magnolia”. The 2017 XXL Freshman went on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night to perform the standout.

Backed by a band, Carti showed off his dancing skills as he milly rocked all over the stage and shot at the opposition.

Travis Scott Drops Three New Songs [PEEP]

While on his “Birds Eye View Tour”, Travis Scott surprises fans with three new songs for them to get LIT to! The trio of songs is very exciting for the religious, balcony-jumping Scott follower, as it could be a sign that his forthcoming album ‘ASTROWORLD’ is coming sooner rather than later. All along the tour, La Flame has been promising fans that he will be unleashing new music and the promise has been kept.

On the first track, “A Man”, Scott pays his respects and praises the lord for all his blessings, while showing he’s grateful for all of his success. It is pretty consistent sounding with Scott’s style and reminiscent of his song “A Team”.

The second track “Green & Purple”, Travis unites with Playboi Carti for magnificent trippy turn-up song. Using full autotune effects, the Houston rapper cooks up a melodic hook, while Playboi ignites the track with some flavor of his own. Listen below.

The final song “Butterfly Effect” is the more mellow sounding song of the three. On it Scott spits rhymes about illicit drugs coated as candy. Listen below.

Neither of these songs are expected to land on Scott’s forthcoming ‘ASTROWORLD’ album, but there is a chance atleast one could. The rapper will continue on his “Birds Eye View Tour” until July 9th, before hitting the road with Kendrick Lamar for the “DAMN. Tour” starting July 12th.

New Music: Tory Lanez – “Magnolia (SwaveyMix)” [LISTEN]

Tory Lanez has been on a remixing spree. After putting his twist on DJ Khaled’s “Shining” and other singles, the Toronto crooner remixes Playboi Carti’s “Magnolia” joint. In his version he shares the desire to fuck Cardi B. (Not sure how Offset feels about that)

The “Magnolia” producer Pierre Bourne recently posted a photo of someone asking permission for Tory to use it and he apparently didn’t allow it.

Starting today Tory will begin his trek with Future, Migos, and A$AP Ferg on the “Nobody Safe Tour” in Memphis, Tennessee.

New Music: Playboi Carti – “New Choppa” Feat. A$AP Rocky [LISTEN]

Playboi Carti will be releasing his long-awaited, self-titled, debut project tonight. Before the full release the Atlanta rapper shares one of the singles off the project called “New Choppa” featuring his homie, A$AP Rocky.

Carti recently inked a deal with Interscope through Rocky’s AWGE imprint. The rapper’s debut project will include 15 tracks and other features from Lil Uzi Vert on “wokeuplikethis*” and “Lookin” and Leven Kali on “Flex”. Along with the features it also includes production from Southside, Harry Fraud and Pierre Bourne.

New Music: Playboi Carti – “Woke Up Like This” Feat. Lil Uzi Vert [LISTEN]

Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert have been working on a lot of new music together. Following their single “Lookin,” the duo drop the Beyonce-inspired “Woke Up Like This.”

Over the Pierre Bourne catchy production, Carti and Uzi rap about other rappers biting their sound. Carti raps on the chorus, “woke up to n****s talking like me, woke up to n****s sounding like me.”

Aside from the music, Uzi has been creating waves with the #LilUziVertChallenge, where people try to recreate the rapper’s dance moves, led by Uzi’s shoulders.
