Pharrell Joins ‘The Voice’ (News)

Pharrell shared the good news today on Instagram that he will be joining The Voice next season as a judge!

Lately, Pharrell’s been winning. And today, it was announced that he has happily accepted to take a permanent seat on judge’s panel for the next season of The Voice.

Last year, he appeared on the NBC talent show as a mentor. Says NBC president Paul Telegdy:

“He has already made a considerable impact as a mentor, drawing on an impressive track record as both a producer and performer. It is a perfect fit for The Voice as we evolve and reach for new heights with this franchise. It feels like we are welcoming an existing family member home.”

Executive producer Mark Burnett added:

“I am thrilled to have Pharrell come back to The Voice family, and this timeas a coach. Continuing in The Voice tradition of having the biggest and most current music stars as coaches, Pharrell fits perfectly.”

Pharrell Partners With Adidas (News)

adidas announced today a long term partnership with musical super star Pharrell Williams. The first adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams products will debut in the Summer of 2014.

This is also the first time adidas has partnered with a designer who owns their own textile company. adidas will collaborate with Williams’ Bionic Yarn coming from The Vortex Project; an initiative with Parley for the Oceans to turn plastic debris from the oceans into yarn and fabric. Bionic Yarn will be used in some of Pharrell’s upcoming adidas Originals products.

You were nominated for an Oscar that night, but didn’t win. How badly did you want it?
Well, trust me: when they read the results, my face wasfrozen. But then I thought about it, and I just decided just tolet it go.

“Let It Go”—you just said it.
How do you feel about the song?

I thought “Happy” would’ve been a more interesting choice.
Is it going to be here for ten years—that song from Frozen?

Arby’s Buys Pharrell’s Grammy Hat For $44k (News)

Pharrell, being the good guy that he is, decided to auction off the brown, iconic hat for a good cause. Pharrell and his team listed it on ebay, with proceeds from the sale going to the charity, From One Hand To AnOTHER.

Well, it turns out, in an ironic twist, that fast food chain Arby’s bought it for a cool $44,100. Guess they really wanted their hat back.
