A day departed from sharing the track list for his forthcoming album ‘The Autobiography’, Vic Mensa is spreading his “Wings” on the new single off the debut album, featuring Pharrell Williams and Saul Williams.

With Pharrell taking care of the production and vocals on the introspective song, Saul Williams handles the outro with some vocals of his own, while Vic stays true to his art and drops some lyrical bars over the soulful production.

“I got so many issues, I should be my own publisher / The beat is my therapist, Skateboard, paint the picture / A portrait of the artist formerly known as Vic / I read the signs, I was close to overdose like Prince,” raps Vic.

Last night Vic premiered the track at a listening event, where Jay-Z introduced him and praised him highly.

Kid Cudi recently announced his forthcoming album ‘Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ is on hold due to “minor sample clearances.” However, that’s not holding Cudder back from dropping two new songs off the album.

On “Surfin'” Cudi gets a feature from Pharrell Willaims and talks about individuality as he soars over the strong horns. The song was first heard at “Trillectro” last month. Listen below.

The auto-tuned “Frequency” was dropped in March, but wasn’t CDQ. Listen to the final version of the song below.
