‘Take Care’ is a great album, but I listen to it and realize where I can do better, and I think I’ve done better on [‘Nothing Was the Same’]. If you want to listen to Drake music for the rest of your life, I welcome it… but just don’t ever be surprised when I’m singing or using melody; I’m doing that on this album. This album is not some straight rap album. I’ll never do a straight rap album; that’s now how I came into this. I make songs for people. I have aspirations to be Marvin Gaye in the back of my head.

It was a big night for JT! 13 years ago Justin made his solo debut on stage at the Video Music Awards, and tonight it came into full circle as he was honored with the Video Vanguard Award. JT performed an extended melody and reunited with his fellow member of NSYNC and performed “Bye,Bye, Bye.”
Kanye West performed “Blood On The Leaves” off his latest album Yeezus” tonight at the VMA’s. ‘Ye also shared on twitter the inspiration for the background of his set.

Miley Cyrus got her twerkin on while she performed “We Won’t Stop”, and then Robin Thicke took the stage with Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz for his new song “Give It 2 U.” If you watch closely Miley Cyrus backs it up on Robin! We Get It!!
Drake started off his performance with “Hold On We’re Going Home”, and transitioned into “No New Friends.”

During MTV’s RapFix Pusha T announced the release date for his upcoming album My Name Is My Name will drop on October 8th.
MTV caught up with Drake after the OVO Fest in Toronto and talked the possibility of Ma$e signing to his new label OVO Sound.
Funny enough, me and Ma$e have just been talking about what the future holds, about what he wants to do and anything is possible man. I told Ma$e, ‘You’re Ma$e, at the end of the day so I don’t think you should end up on anybody else’s label.”
“I would love to be involved. I know Kanye took an interest in Ma$e as well, because Ma$e is like the original fly guy that made it all look extremely fun, dancing [and everything You saw it at [OVO Fest], those guys can’t get on stage and be stiff and overly serious…it’s a party. There’s a lot of rappers who get out there and take themselves super serious and it’s not fun like that. They don’t laugh. Those guys got out there and proved why there are who they are. Two kings doing what they were born to do.
I’d love to work with Ma$e to be honest. I told him, ‘man I hope tonight’s not our last conversation.’ It’s been cool, we kicked it and just went out and and got something to eat.”
