New Music: Benny Blanco, Calvin Harris & Miguel – “I Found You / Nilda’s Story” [LISTEN]

Benny Blanco and Calvin Harris joined forces with Miguel to create a heartfelt video and song about immigration and how it can takes a toll on families. Miguel sings the vocals over the 5-minute
soundtrack to the story of a Guatemalan woman named Nilda, who was separated from her child
when she tried to cross over into the United States on “I Found You / Nilda’s Story.”

The new version of the song, which is even more emotional than the original, shows exactly the story of an immigrant feeling violence while being forced to wait for asylum in the United States.

Travis Scott, Miguel, SZA & More To Celebrate Mac Miller’s Life At Benefit Concert [PEEP]

The hip-hop community lost Mac Miller to a sudden, unfortunate death a few weeks ago. Family an friends will celebrate his life with a benefit concert on Wednesday, October 31st.

“Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life” will take place at the Greek Theatre in L.A. on Halloween day. The concert was organized by Mac’s mother, father, brother, 4 Strikes Management, which has partnered with Live Nation for the event.

The date coincides with the day Mac was supposed to perform in at the Greek in L.A. on his “Swimming Tour.” Miller’s rap homies like Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Miguel, ScHoolboy Q, Chance The Rapper, Anderson .Paak, Thundercat, J.I.D, and more will perform.

Tickers will be on sale this Friday, October 5th at 10 am PST. All proceeds will benefit the launch of the Mac Miller Circles Fund (MMCF) that will provide programming, resources, opportunites, and more to different communities through the arts.

New Video: Miguel – “Banana Clip” [WATCH]

There’s more war and not so much leisure in the video for Miguel’s ‘War & Leisure’ single, “Banana Clip.” The grainy Manson-directed clip shows Miguelito flexing his Spanish-speaking skills as models dance around him and do weight-lifting in feminine scenes and then bust out their ammunition.

New Music: Miguel – “Vote” [LISTEN]

We get a new, uplifting single today from Miguel off the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ soundtrack. The single “Vote” is a feel-good single that celebrates life and the people that make it better. It is produced by Mark Ronson and Mohawke, Miggy breezes over the production with smooth, happy vocals.

“For the moments we remember and the people that we treasure,” he sings. “We can keep it all together / Vote for a good time.”

The family Miguel comes through with some fresh vibes on his new trippy track, “Python,” where he shows off his vocals and experiments with some new sounds.

When Miguel came through the #LIFTOFF back in May he told Justin and Sourmilk that he was working on a Spanish album saying, “I’m really nervous to do it, I don’t want it to be bad, but I’m really excited to do it.”

Miguel Announces His Upcoming “The Ascension Tour” [PEEP]

To support his fourth studio album ‘War & Leisure’, Miguel is hitting the road for his headlining “The Ascension Tour” this summer.

On the 26-date tour, Miguel will be joined by OVO’s dvsn and his brother, .nonchalant. The trek will begin on August 23rd in Boston and make its way across North America, hitting major cities and festivals. It will wrap up September 28th in Seattle.

There will be a pre-sale for Citi Card members beginning June 19th at 10 a.m. local time. General tickets will be on sale June 22nd at 10 a.m. local time.

The Stars Align On ‘Superfly’ Soundtrack Produced & Curated By Future [STREAM]

Next week the remake of “Superfly” will hit theaters across the world. Before the 1970’s cult classic makes its way on the big screen, the star-studded motion picture soundtrack, that is produced and curated by Future is released.

The film was inspired by the legacy of Curtis Mayfield and is directed by Director X. Its soundtrack is meant to pay homage and includes appearances by Future, Lil Wayne, Miguel, Young Thug, Khalid, 21 Savage, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and more.

Miguel Performs “Come Through And Chill” On “The Tonight Show” [WATCH]

Talented L.A. crooner Miguel “Sky Walked” his way onto “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” stage to perform a rendition of his J. Cole-assisted “Come Through And Chill,” off his ‘War & Leisure’ album from last year.

Rocking a black jumpsuit with a green leopard print t-shirt underneath showed off his talents as fog filled the stage. Without the assistance of Cole, Mig was joined by Salaam Remi, who’s also featured on the song and The Roots.

Miguel embraces his latin roots with a hot, Spanish version of his ‘War & Leisure’ single “Sky Walker.” The bi-racial singer keeps the song’s hook, but reworks much of the song in Spanish to please his hispanic followers and give the track a new layer.

I hope Miguel drops a Spanish album or releases a Spanish version of ‘War & Leisure’ with features from latin acts.
