Many people compare Chris Brown’s skillset to that of Michael Jackson’s, so it’s only right Breezy paid homage to his idol. On his surprise new single, “Had to Do It…Sorry DJ Khaled,” CB samples MJ’s ‘Off the Wall’ classic, “Rock With You.”
“I want to wake up naked next to you,” CB sings over the sample. “Bring that ass to my place.”
Outkast’s Big Boi zones out in a trippy way after hitting the wrong dry cleaners in the video for “Mic Jack” featuring Adam Levine. The video for the Michael Jackson-inspired single begins with Big Boi walking into the wrong cleaners, where Adam Levine thinks he misplaced the rapper’s order and is forced to go on a full-fledged mission in the back, before realizing Big is at the wrong cleaners.
The single is off Big Boi’s forthcoming album ‘Boomiverse’ dropping June 16th.
Following Rihanna’s final performance, Drake surprised the crowd as he made his way to the stage to present Rihanna with the 2016 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Drake went in on how he met Rih in 2005 and how big of a star she is and how even though she is older than her, he still very much looks up to her.
The chemistry on the stage was as natural as its ever been with the two sharing a kiss and Drake professing his love by saying, “she is someone I have been in love with since I was 22-years-old.”
In my opinion nobody would’ve been better two present the award than Drizzy. These two are arguably the two biggest stars in the world at the moment.
Past recipients for the award include Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, LL Cool J, David Bowie to name a few.
What an accomplishment, but well deserved! Congrats, RihRih.
Last week we shared a picture on our Twitter of a billboard Drake bought Rihanna to Congratulate her on the accomplishment.
The late King Of Pop’s presence was felt during the Billboard Music Awards tonight. MJ was virtually resurrected for a performance of “Slave To The Rhythm” off his posthumous LP, XSCAPE.
