In an effort to save even more lives, Colombian singer, Juanes flips Logic’s critically-acclaimed “1-800-273-8255” with a Spanish rendition of the suicide prevention anthem.

Juanes picks up right where Logic left off with an array of strong vocals emphasizing suicide prevention by singing.

“I don’t want to wait for someone to come save me,” he sings in Spanish. “I can’t heal. Let me explain.” He then adds so motivation into it singing, “I want to see you dream / I want to see you fly / Don’t let yourself fall / Don’t feel down.”

The singer took to Twitter his satisfaction of making music for a cause saying, “Me encanta ser parte de un tema con un mensaje tan poderoso y que podamos ayudar con la música a los que están en el lado oscuro de la vida.”

Logic & Alessia Cara Perform “1-800-273-8255” On “The Ellen Show” [WATCH]

logic-allesia-ellen

Known as the voice of this generation, Logic really touched a lot of hearts and spoke for the voiceless on his last album ‘Everybody’. One of the album’s standout tracks is “1-800-273-8255” which has garnered a lot of attention, as it should for addressing suicide.

Logic along with his collaborator, Alessia Cara hit “The Ellen Show” stage to perform the heartfelt single in front of a very receptive audience. Along with the performance, Logic and Alessia also sat down with Ellen to discuss the significance of the song.

Since Logic’s emotional performance at the MTV VMAs, the single has climbed to No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, making it the highest for any song that includes a phone number.

Logic Joins Suicide Prevention Campaign [PEEP]

Screen Shot 2017-09-05 at 9.32.48 PM

While bullshit continues to unfold under Trump and his excuse for a cabinet, Logic continues to use his platform to unite “Everybody.” Having already created a major spark with his socially-charged single, “1-800-273-8255,” where he speaks against suicide, the rapper going a step further by joining the “I’m Listening” suicide prevention campaign.

“I’m Listening” is coordinated by Entercom and already boasts a powerful lineup of stars like Metallica, Halsey, Khalid, and others, who are all in it to provide support to those individuals that may be at risk to take their lives.

Rolling Stone has said that the “I’m Listening” campaign will feature artists sharing their stories of struggles with mental health and other personal challenges. The campaign will also create public service announcements, counseling, promos, and talks that will air on Entercom stations starting today.

Logic’s hit-single, “1-800-273-8255,” was inspired by a fan, who told the Logic that his music saved him.

“It’s just so hard to fathom that, because I’m just like, a guy who raps,” said Logic. “And I had to ask myself, ‘If I saved your life, but I wasn’t even trying, could you imagine possibly all the people I could effect if I actually tried and I made, not only one song, but an entire album?’”

Good to see artists and people with a platform using the spotlight for good causes, instead of just showing off their wealth, cars, jewelry, and promoting drug use.

SALUTE LOGIC!

Logic Performs “1-800-273-8255” With Suicide Attempt Survivors At MTV’s #VMAs [WATCH]

logic-mtv-vmas-2017

Logic deserves all the praise in the world for addressing a major issue like suicide and being an ambassador of suicide prevention with his ‘Everybody’ single, “1-800-273-8255.” With the help of Alessia Cara and Khalid, the rapper did a heartfelt performance of the single at yesterday’s MTV’s Video Music Awards.

From the stage design, which included the artwork for the “1-800-273-8255” single to having 50 suicide attempt and loss survivors on stage with him wearing shirts that read, “You Are Not Alone.” Throughout the performance Logic urged people struggling with thoughts of suicide to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and pushed the message they are not alone.

Watch below and also check out Logic using his platform to address the media, who fails to make this a pressing issue and fails to cover it.

New Video: Logic – “1-800-273-8255” Feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid [WATCH]

logic-1800-video

Logic tackled a lot of pressing issues on his ‘Everybody’ album. From social issues to racial tensions, he really covered nearly every base. Another topic he shed light on, which rappers hardly ever speak about is suicide. On “1-800-273-8255” featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid, Logic did that, aside from naming the single the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, he executed with meaningful lyrics.

Not letting the issue go forgotten, Logic dropped the visuals for the powerful single. The clip follows a young man who deals with a lot of pressure and stress from being homosexual. Plotting and contemplating suicide, the young man opts to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline instead and ultimately saves his life.
