Machine Gun Kelly Talks His Love For Music, Sell Out Comments, ‘Bloom’ & More [PEEP]

932931-162881

Machine Gun Kelly, aka MGK is getting ready to release his forthcoming album ‘bloom’ on May 12th. The Cleveland rapper stopped by the #LIFTOFF on Power 106 to discuss the album, his love for hip hop, turning down big events to do shows for fans, people’s “sell out” comments, and more.

One of the most interesting topics discussed was fans calling MGK a “sell out” for his “Bad Things” collaboration with former Fifth Harmony member, Camila Cabello. MGK has been under fire for going commercial, despite the single’s success like winning a Disney Radio award.

MGK called ‘bloom’ a “confidence album” going on to say, “it’s one of those albums that if you don’t like it, you don’t like me being happy.”

HARD Summer Music Festival Lineup [PEEP]

dc649a7e-e248-409d-8090-6936cfda6c11

This year’s HARD Summer Music Festival will mark the 10-year anniversary for the celebrated summer event. Gary Richards aka Destructo has put together a hell of a lineup to honor the achievement and success of the festival.

The two-day even will take place on August 5th and 6th with Snoop Dogg as one of the headliners performing his classic ‘Doggystyle’ album. The Leakers themselves are on the bill this year as well, so you know it’s gonna be an all-out, LIT West Coast affair.

Other hip-hop and R&B performers include Migos, Ty Dolla $ign, Rae Sremmurd, E-40, Skepta, Tinashe, Kap-G, Mobb Deep, Mike WiLL Made-It, London On Da Track, Madeintyo, Dave, Uffie, and 24hrs. It will take place at its usual location of The SPEEDWAY in Fontana, CA.

Last year Destructo got a lot of flack for having only 4 female performers, so he amped it up this year with 26 hot ones, including fellow SKAM Artists, the Deux Twins. Check out this hilarious trailer below, where Destructo made it a point to put more women on the bill.

troy-ave-la-leakers-interview

Troy Ave came to LA on a strict 24-hour restriction and checked in with the Leakers on the Power 106 #LIFTOFF. Having gone through a lot in the last 24 months, Troy had a lot to talk about and get off his chest. Dope Boy Troy cleared up the TDE signing rumors, which he’s been under fire for, as well as his recently-released ‘NuPac’ album.

The Brooklyn rapper was holding back no punches on all topics discussed. He also spoke about his former manager Hovain Hylton, Joe Budden’s comments about him, the industry, being the most hated in New York, rap beef, and more.

Audio Push Go Back-And-Forth On #Freestyle009 [WATCH]

audio_push_freestyle

And another one.

Okay, if you haven’t picked up on what’s going on, you’re obviously not paying attention. Justin and Milk have been grabbing the hottest spitters to spit nothing but bars! For #Freestyle009, Audio Push from the I.E. or “I.Evil” as they put it, came through to show off their verbal skills.

Both members of the group, made up of Oktane and Price bounce back-and-forth for over 6-minutes with bars over Kodak Black’s “Tunnel Vision.” The I.E. duo absolutely gets off on the instrumental, successfully spitting bars and showing why they’re “team no writtens”.

Watch the video below.

Crooked I Gets Off On #Freestyle008 [WATCH]

kxng-crooked-leakers-freestyle

Sourmilk and Creddy brought in a West Coast legend for #Freestyle008. Long Beach’s own, Crooked I came in and murdered Jeru The Damaja’s “Come Clean” instrumental produced by DJ Premier. For about 3-minutes, Crook spits deadly bars about Slaughterhouse, formerly being signed to Death Row, mumble rappers, Oprah, having deep pockets like “the owner of Roc Nation,” being the illest, and more.

Crooked I or KXNG Crooked, whatever you wanna call him, make sure you call him a legend. He definitely stayed true to his team’s name by slaughtering #Freestyle008. Watch below.

Dave Spits Bars on #Freestyle007 [WATCH]

maxresdefault

For #Freestyle007 we had to go James Bond on them by getting British rapper, Dave also known as Santan Dave straight from East London. It’s no coincidence they both hail from the U.K. and both are known to do some top secret type things.

The OVO affiliate fired off some bars over a couple instrumentals, where he talks about his different latin girls, weed, losing friends, the messages behind his music, and more. Watch the full #Freestyle007 below and just know it’s pure flames.
