The L.A. Leakers Podcast Episode 17: “Peace To 2017” [STREAM]

It was definitely a big year for hip-hop in 2017 with the culture running the masses. A lot of dope music put out and awesome moments that will live engraved in the memory’s of many. We are a piece of the culture and really pushed it forward this year with our platform. With that said, we had to look back on the amazing year and talk about it.

Justin Credible, Sourmilk, and myself sat down and had a conversation about 2017, where we shared our picks for top album, top artists, biggest winners, and a lot more. We start off by giving a lengthy intro (LOL), anchored by yours truly.

Designer Tracey Mills Tells His Story, Talks Different Ventures, Drops Gems & More [WATCH]

Clothing designer Tracey Mills is one of the most influential guys in the industry. In the past he has worked as a consultant, designed, and collaborated with Kanye West, Chris Brown, Ed Hardy, among others. Being from LA, Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk had to get him to the Power 106 “#LIFTOFF” for an interview.

During the interview Tracey talks about his start in the industry, tells his story, different ventures he’s working on, his new clothing company Visitor On Earth, working with Kanye West, being from LA, the vision behind his ReProgram campaign, and more.

Rolling Loud Link Up: Lil Xan [WATCH]

Over the weekend Lil Xan was making his rounds at Rolling Loud linking up with a lot of different artists. He made appearances at different artist’s sets including Post Malone’s. I stopped by his trailer to discuss his upcoming project dropping in March of 2018, being from Redlands and performing at Rolling Loud, his anti-Xanax movement, and more.

We start with a little BTS of him giving me some candy that looks like nugs of weed, but actually contain zero THC. LOL.

Rolling Loud Link Up: Duckwrth [WATCH]

Linked up with the home team, DUCKWRTH, over the weekend in what was one of my favorite interviews of the weekend. DUCKWRTH is a super talented act that is respected among different crowds. If you’re into experimental sound, I’m sure you’ll like his music.

Nipsey Hussle Talks ‘Victory Lap’, Atlantic Records Partnership & More [WATCH]

Hometown hero Nipsey Hussle stopped by the Power 106 “#LIFTOFF” show to check-in with Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk. Neighbadhood Nip came loaded with goodies as he premiered his new single “Rap N****s” and shared the cover art and release date for his forthcoming ‘Victory Lap’ debut album.

Nip told Creddy and Milk that he will release ‘Victory Lap’ during the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend on February 16th. The album has been teased since 2013, but Nip made the official call on the “#LIFTOFF” and had the streets buzzing.

Along with the ‘Victory Lap’ details, Nipsey also went in-depth about his new partnership with Atlantic Records, his upcoming smart store opening, The Marathon Continues brand, shared some advice, how he peeps game, and a lot more.

Dreezy Delivers Hardcore Bars On #Freestyle034 [WATCH]

As the year comes to a close a lot of folks are slowing down and waiting on next year. NOT the LA Leakers. Just when you thought we were all done and slowing down, we bring you the latest installment of our freestyle series.

For #Freestyle034 we brought in Dreezy, who happened to be leaving out of town the same night. Before catching her flight she came through and delivered some crazy bars that may have caused some turbulence on her flight.

The up-and-coming Chicago artist showcased her lyrical skills as she rapped about her rise in the industry, securing the bag, her pregnant pockets, coming up but staying humble, and demanded Meek Mill be released from prison.

Roy Wood$ Talks ‘Say Less’ Album, Drake Mentorship, Possible OVO Compilation & More [WATCH]

OVO’s Roy Wood$ was in LA for his ‘Say Less’ listening party and stopped by the #LIFTOFF to talk about the debut album with Justin Credible and Sourmilk.

In the interview the Canadian rapper talked about his ‘Say Less’ album, Canada’s music scene, Canadian’s dominating the industry, Drake’s mentorship, being signed to OVO, a possible OVO compilation tape, and a whole lot more.

Wood$ goes on to list Michael Jackson and Nelly as his biggest influences, goes into detail about how he got his name, and praised his mother for being a major supporter for him.
