Kendrick Lamar – ‘Radio Run’ Pitchfork Documentary (Video)

Pitchfork.tv premieres a new short 11-minute documentary starring Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar. The camera captures his interview-filled day following the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. The film also let’s us eavesdrop on some of the interviews (hope they don’t mind) that discuss his upcoming album, project with J. Cole and whether he has any desire to work on more collaborations. I’m pretty sure Kendrick has mentioned it before but I think it’s so awesome that he’s decided to use a majority of West Coast up-and-coming producers for his album. It’s the West’s time to shine.

Everyone please shut the fuck up about this “going commercial” shit. The sound/feel of this song isn’t much different than the rest of his shit. Just because he has a deal now and has big budgets for videos, doesn’t mean he’s a sell out or that he’s gone commercial. It means his music is on a bigger platform now, that’s it.
