While on Logic’s “EVERYBODY Tour,” Joey Badass dropped a new single called “500 Benz.” Today the Pro Era rapper unveiled the dope visuals, which show him rolling around in a vintage Mercedes-Benz 500-Class.

Both Logic and Joey Bada$$ share a few commonalities. The ones that come to mind first are that they both are super-talented lyricists, both have a crazy fan base, both make socially-conscious music for the people, and both just dropped new albums. Now, they will join forces to share a stage on their joint “Everybody’s Tour” along with Big Lenbo.
The 29-city tour will begin in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 9th. From there the summer ride will stop in major cities like LA, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, and more before coming to a halt on August 26th in Toronto.
Logic recently-released his ‘Everybody’ album, that has received high praise. While Joey released his sophomore ‘All Amerikkkan Bada$$’ album a few weeks ago.
Special pre-sale tickets will go on sale May 15th and general sales will start May 16th.

Tit for tat? Joey provided y’all with 17 original tracks that you can stream and download after the jump. The debut album, B4.Da.$$, is up next.
HotNewHipHop asked the Summer Jam XX Festival Village artists what hip hop trends they’d like to see die. If you guessed that Molly was brought up, you’re right.
It’s not just a new song that’s being posted but the artwork of his upcoming album, Summer Knights, the announcement of said album and it’s release date, June 12th. Lots of information in one sentence, right? For the first Summer Knights single, Joey Bada$$’ has released “Word Is Bond” with a lovely musical arrangement provided by Statik Selektah.
Summer night approved.
FADER TV joined Joey Bada$$ and ten other member of the Pro Era crew on the bus during the last week of their The Beast Coastal Tour before they headed back home to NYC. Tour life sounds rough but nothing is too harsh for Pro Era.

Originally found on the DJ Drama-assisted 2013 XXL Freshmen mixtape, this year’s members Joey and Bam Bam’s track is now available without drops.
Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era are back in class in the 90s-feel video, “School High,” where Joey cleverly reminds us that we went to high school but he went to school high. In addition to hotboxing a school bus, the video includes pieces of animation that goes well with the high school school high vibe. Kick back and watch Pro Era’s new video above.
Last but not least, XXL releases the official annual XXL Freshman mixtape, hosted by DJ Drama. Seventeen tracks from the freshman ten (ScHoolboy Q, Trinidad Jame$, Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Logic, Action Bronson, Kirko Bangz, Travi$ Scott, Angel Haze and Dizzy Wright) kick off the last leg of XXL Freshman promo. Most of the tracks new (we’ve already heard “Yay Yay” and “Upper Echelon”) and some of the tracks with top notch features. Check out the tracklist, stream and download after the jump.
XXL’s latest freshman class keeps churning out those cyphers. In part 1 of the group cyphers, Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, Ab-Soul and Travi$ Scott take turns on the mic as Jahlil Beats spins in the background.

This that shit I do like. Sorry for (mis)quoting an old Chief Keef song but man, this new cut off Statik Selektah’s Extended Play is such a great track. Statik delivered bringing Raekwon, the young buck Joey Bada$$ and Black Thought together over an impressive beat with a beautiful sample. Black Thought’s verse is my favorite (like wow.) but everyone held their ground on “Bird’s Eye View.” I mean, they ooze with talent as soon as the beat drops.
I always enjoy hearing the scratching in Statik Selektah’s tracks not to mention he knows how to pick artists for his beats. His album Extended Play drops June 18. Just a heads up for good music headed your way this summer.
You already heard the Joey Bada$$ and Harry Fraud collab in the previous post and now you can listen to Peter Rosenberg’s entire mixtape The New York Rennaissance. In the compilation, Rosenberg highlights the fresh new artists sprouting out of New York, the New New York. Features from A$AP Rocky, Action Bronson, Worlds Fair, The Kid Daytona and more after the jump!

For the official music video, the goal of renowned directing duo Coodie and Chike (founders of NY production house Creative Control), was to take the audience on an illustrated journey with Joey, Premier & Pro Era through the cold streets of Brooklyn. In this “Making Of” clip, go behind the scenes of that directorial process, as they shoot the initial background “backplates,” then move to the studio for green screen performances from Joey and crew, and finally give you an insider look at the animation process you’ll see come to life in the final product.
