One of Atlanta’s biggest stars, 21 Savage has been very quite this year aside from lending a few verses to his peers but has still had a phenomenal year when it comes to streaming with over a billion streams of his previous work.
Today 2-1 comes through with his long-awaited sophomore album ‘I AM > I WAS’ where musically he sounds better than ever. Coming off of his debut album ‘ISSA’ that included the smash hit “Bank Account,” this album is a solid follow-up and should surpass the numbers ‘ISSA’ had.
Over 15-tracks 21 collabs with some heavyweights like J. Cole on the opener “a lot,” Childish Gambino on “monster,” Post Malone on “all my friends,” City Girls on “a&t,” Offset on “1.5,” Gunna and Lil Baby on “can’t leave without it,” ScHoolboy Q on “good day,” and more.
Over the past year we’ve seen a lot of growth from 21 making it clear that he’s on a different path in life and has been heavily donating to charities and no longer wearing jewelry to teaching his people how to manage their money.
Earlier this year he earned two GRAMMY nominations along with Post Malone for “rockstar.”
