New Music: Gucci Mane – “Tone It Down” [LISTEN]

gucci-mane-tone-it-down

Every time Gucci Mane and Chris Brown collaborate they seem to strike gold. On their latest “Tone It Down,” it’s no different.

Led by the flute-heavy production that resembles Drake’s “Portland” off ‘More Life’, Gucci Mane spits braggadocio rhymes about his lavish lifestyle. Breezy comes in with the melodic chorus, while also handling a verse of his own.

Gucci and Breezy’s last collaboration “Party” was a chart-topper and went on to be the name of Brown’s last tour. In the past the two have also collaborated on “C’Yeah,” and “Deuces (Remix).

“Tone It Down” is looking like it will be a one-off as it didn’t appear on the track list for Breezy’s forthcoming ‘Heartbreak on a Full Moon’ and La Flare just dropped his latest album about a month ago. With Gucci you never know though, he might just be working on another album release next month.

New Music: Fifth Harmony – “Down” Feat. Gucci Mane [LISTEN]

fifth-harmony-down

More and more Pop Stars are collaborating with popping hip-hop acts and creating musical magic. On their newest release Fifth Harmony summons Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane for “Down.” With a mellow, trendy, islandisque (I know that’s not a real word) instrumental, and  talent this record figures to do damage on the charts.

Fifth Harmony has collaborated with other hip-hop acts such as Ty Dolla $ign, Kid Ink, Fetty Wap, Tyga, and Missy Elliot in the past. Even departed member, Camila Cabello has also been mixing with the hip-hop community on her previous solo releases.

Mike WiLL Made-It goes road trippin with Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane, and Rae Sremmurd in the trippy, Nabil-directed visuals for “Perfect Pint” off Mike’s ‘Ransom 2’ album.

While Mike rides through different weather catastrophes like a vortex, tornado, hurricane, and asteroids along with the Sremm Life boys, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee flying pills surround them, as a giant woman blows kisses at them. Gucci then joins in on the fun as a giant with UFOs flying around. Kung-Fu Kenny then hits the switches on his blue, 6-4 lowrider, taking flight with a woman flying on a unicorn.

One of the hardest working men in the industry by far has to be Gucci Mane. After being released from federal penitentiary about a year ago, Gucci has released a plethora of mixtapes and two albums in ‘Everybody Lookin’ and ‘The Return of East Atlanta Santa’. The Atlanta rapper announced today that he will celebrate the one-year anniversary of his prison release by releasing his new album ‘DropTopWop’ this Friday, May 26th.

The colorful artwork shows him and Metro riding in a drop top Rolls-Royce around East Atlanta, while he throws money out to fans who run behind the drop top. It is reminiscent of The Clipse debut album ‘Lord Willin’ cover art.

‘DropTopWop’ will drop at 10:17 am Friday in solidarity with his newly found label 1017 Eskimo Records. Check out the full track list below.

New Music: Gucci Mane – “Coachella” [LISTEN]

gucci-mane-coachella

Gucci Mane pays homage to the Coachella Music Festival by dropping a new song called “Coachella”. The 1017 boss is fresh off his dominating performance at weekend 1 of the Indio festival, so it’s only right he dropped a track to celebrate.

“Coachella” is co-produced by heavyweights, Murda Beatz and TM88. On the track you hear a snippet of GuWop’s set and get some cold bars with Gucci rapping, “Cold weather, just performed at Coachella / It’s a cold summer, so I’ma paint the Lam’ yella / Brr!”

Gucci is currently touring on his “TrapGod Tour” while getting ready to release his book, “The Autobiography of Gucci Mane”, working on his next album, and working on a independent film with Rick Ross.

gucci-mane-both-remix

Gucci Mane summons “Both” Young Money rappers, Drake and Lil Wayne for the remix of his banging single off ‘The Return of East Atlanta Santa’, which dropped last December.

Over the Metro Boomin’ and Southside co-produced track, Weezy adds a verse where he also gets “Both” high and drunk rapping, “I don’t usually do this but the drink has got me moody / Got me thinking ’bout decisions man, I should’ve left with Juve / Got me bustin’ with my cutie, I can’t trust her nor her booty / Every night, she actin’ new school, I am not gon’ be a student / I got class, I got trash, I got bills, I got pills / Heard them boys gon’ write me off, hope they also writing they wills,” spits Wayne at the front of his verse.”

The remix keeps “Both” GuWop and Drizzy’s original verses. Listen below via Apple Music.

New Music: Gucci Mane – “Pardon Me” Feat. Rocko [LISTEN]

gucci-mane-pardon-me

Gucci Mane is one of the hardest working men in the music industry. He’s proven that when he’s focused he’s capable to do anything. Following the release of his “Drop Top Wizop Freestyle,” GuWop drops a new single called “Pardon Me” featuring Rocko.

Wop and Rocko ask for forgiveness over the 808 Mafia-production. The booming, bass-heavy track stays true to that A-Town trap music sound. Both rappers had a long standing beef that was recently buried at the SuperBowl. This is their first collaboration since squashing the beef.

Gucci is kicking off his “Trap God Tour” today.
