A few days ago a text photograph between Vic Mensa, G-Eazy, and Marshmello surfaced on Instagram with a song titled “Reverse” in the body. Well, the song that was teased in that photo is officially here with Vic and G dropping solid bars over Marshmello’s clean production.

“Turn around and throw it in reverse, Let me see how you work, You boys smokin’ dirt, we smokin’ Larry Bird, Saint Laurent straight jacket, go berserk, Turn around and throw it in reverse,” flows Vic on the chorus.

The “Uncle Drew” motion soundtrack brought G-Eazy, Yo Gotti, and YBN Nahmir together for their thumper, “1942.” The collaborators gather up for the flossy “1942” video.

Gotti begins the video surrounded by models and dipped in drip. Gerald then plays ball with Gotti and Nahmir while models look on in amazement. Nahmir then proceeds to do his verse while talented BMX bikers and skaters do tricks in the background.

New Music: Yung Pinch – “Why Would I Wait” Feat. G-Eazy [LISTEN]

Huntington Beach up-and-comer has been bubbling with recent collaborations with YG, IAMSU!, Zaytoven, and many others. Before hitting the road with G-Eazy on a European run, he gives his fans a new collab with G-Eazy called “Why Would I Wait.”

The sleepy Nic Nac and Dave Dior co-produced track is definitely one of my favorite from the Bluntington Beach legend and I look forward to more melodic joints.

G-Eazy Shares His “These Things Happened” Documentary + Tour Announcement [WATCH]

In collaboration with YouTube, G-Eazy shares his “These Things Happened” Rob Semmer-directed documentary about his come-up in the music industry.

Over 14-minutes G flashes back-and-forth between his early days coming up in the music industry to his current situation as an established worldwide rap star. Loaded with introspective scenes the documentary takes the viewer behind-the-scenes and offers a first hand look to Gerald’s life then and now.

“My approach to music has always been autobiographical,” he explains in the documentary. “What I’m experiencing right now, where my head is at, that’s what makes it into the music…If I’m low as fuck, going through it, questioning everything, feeling inadequate, dealing with something, that’s what I put into the music.”

It makes sense that the Oakland rapper collaborated with YouTube to release the documentary as he explains the role YouTube had in his success and making him the star he is today.

“It didn’t work the traditional route until I got it poppin’ on my own on YouTube,” he analyzes in the clip. “I’m forever grateful of the opportunity that presented to an artist like myself without the resources of a major label.”

One of the most inspiring moments in the documentary starts in the beginning when Young Gerald is in Times Square talking about a massive billboard of Diddy and saying he’ll have one, one day. In the end it all comes full circle as he stares at his YouTube-sponsored billboard in Times Square.

G-Eazy Releases ‘The Beautiful & Damned’ Short Film [WATCH]

G-Eazy’s recently-released ‘The Beautiful & Damned’ album has been quite a success. It has garnered heavy attention for the Bay Area rapper and placed him on night television shows and also been one of the most fluid bodies of work from all the December 15th releases that include Eminem, N*E*R*D, Jeezy, amongst others.

To celebrate the album’s success G-Eazy releases his “The Beautiful & Damned” short film, which includes music from the album. In the film G struggles with his relationship as stress and pressure put a burden on it.

‘The Beautiful & Damned’ is expected to sell between 130-150k copies in its first week. That could be enough to earn a No. 2 spot on the charts behind Eminem, who is expected to score another No. 1 album. Congrats to both rappers.

The album will be accompanied with a cinematic short film that should be released in the coming days. In the meantime stream the album in its entirety below.
