Video: Drake On The Weeknd’s Contribution to Take Care

Get More: Music News

In another interview with MTV, Drake has confirmed that The Weeknd will be joining him on his next album. Take Care drops November 15th.

“He’s like a writer, collaborator on four songs on my album which I’m very proud of. I usually don’t branch out writing-wise working with other people. I usually like to write all my own stuff, but we get it. We try to tap into the same emotions because we’re from the same city.”

MTV News catches up with Weezy and he discusses his thoughts so far on Drake’s second album, Take Care.

I actually haven’t got a chance to listen to all of it, but I heard a few songs. I can tell, you know, I don’t know nothing else out there that can touch it, including my stuff. That kid is on another planet. To me, I call him a conversational artist, meaning he can make a hit song out of a regular conversation that you would love to have with any woman or anybody, and I think that is his expertise. The songs I heard, he just capitalized on that like crazy.

At least he heard some tracks. As for Thank Me Later, I don’t think he’s heard that yet.

News: Drake – Take Care (Artwork)

Feels like it’s been so long. Is life moving so fast in this generation that when we desire something it begins to move in slow motion? Are we just used to getting what we want right away? Or do we require one another to feel right about all that is going on around us? Maybe our anticipation is justified by the fact that we genuinely cannot wait to share a moment again? Either way, your life and mine are scheduled to meet on October 24…I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

See you soon.
