Drake Drops 4 New Songs & Announces New Project [LISTEN]

drake-more-life

On the eve of his 30th birthday, Drake hosted a very special episode of his Apple Beats 1 “OVO Sound Radio” show by announcing a new project titled ‘More Life’.

‘More Life’ isn’t being called an album or a mixtape by the rapper and is instead described as a “playlist,” containing all original music from him and maybe even other members of the OVO family. The 6 God dubbed it a playlist because he wants it to become a soundtrack “to your life.”

“I’m off like the mixtapes, you know, I wanna do a playlist, I wanna give you [wanna give you] a collection of songs that become a soundtrack to your life,” he said on the show. “[I’m] really excited you know, I had a great tour, I had a great summer and most people I guess would probably go take a break, but me I just wanna get right back to it.”

This new project will follow his record-breaking ‘VIEWS’ album that dropped in April and will be released sometime in December. The cover art shows a throwback picture of his pops, Mr. Dennis Graham, writing lyrics on a notepad.

The big announcement was followed by Drizzy dropping four new songs, which may or may not be on ‘More Life’. You can listen to those below.

“TWO BIRDS ONE STONE”

QUOTABARZ

“It’s only me but I’m seeing four shadows in the light / My demons visit me every night / To the most high I’m forever indebted / I know I gotta pay something, I know that day’s coming / I put it all in the music / Because if I don’t say it here then I won’t say nothing”

“Used to carry a lot of dead weight like a pallbearer / People too scared to tell the truth so it’s all dares / Counted us all there and we all square”

“My numbers out of this world / No wonder they got me feeling so alienated / You were the man on the moon / Now you just go through your phases / Life of the angry and famous / Rap like I know I’m the greatest / Then give you the tropical flavors / Still never been on hiatus / You stay xanned and perked up / So when reality set in you don’t gotta face it”

“WANNA KNOW” (REMIX) Feat. Santan Dave

QUOTABARZ

“I only link with the real ones, lord knows / On fo’, I love to see a fake nigga go broke / I don’t run to twitter with the things I know / I fall back to see how it unfolds”

SNEAKIN'” Feat. 21 Savage

QUOTABARZ

“Shit ain’t been the same like before / I still love it but I used to love it more / Face time with my shawty on tour / And she texting purple hearts cause she know we at war”

“I dont need love I’m the goat / I just hit the beat and float / And I’m selling out arenas, but you putting on a show”

“FAKE LOVE”

QUOTABARZ

“Yeah, straight up to my face, tryna play it safe / Vibe switch like night and day, I can see it like right away / I came up, you changed up, I caught that whole play / Since then, things never been the same”

Drake To Reschedule Few Remaining “Summer Sixteen Tour” Dates & Announces New European Tour

drake-forum

Last week Drizzy postponed select dates of his remaining “Summer Sixteen Tour” due to an ankle injury. The ankle injury has now been deemed to be serious to continue the tour, forcing the 6 God to cancel the remaining dates of his summer tour.

The ankle injury occurred during one of his shows, but Drake fought through for the fans, which made it worst. As of today no new dates have been announced or scheduled.

Read a statement from the Canadian rapper’s representative below.

“Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through,” the statement reads. “By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining 3 dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake’s fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can’t wait to get back on stage.”

Drizzy is looking, looking, looking forward to a speedy recovery and has showed grit by announcing a new tour earlier today.

“The Boy Meets World Tour” will kick off on January 21st in Amsterdam and end March 16th in Cologne.

Get well soon, Drizzy!

Watch Drake’s Short Film “Please Forgive Me” [VIDEO]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUQ7-yUfHYo

Drake delivers his short film, “Please Forgive Me” directed by Anthony Mandler and scored by Noah “40” Shebib.

In the opening scene “Weston Road Flows” plays, as Drake is shown laying in bed kissing Belgian model and actress Fanny Neguesha, who plays his love interest throughout the film.

The short film was first teased by Drake last month, with not many details shared on it. In the video you see Drizzy and his right hand man, Popcann, engage in various mobbish situations similar to the “Find Your Love” video also produced by Mandler.

Essentially the short film is somewhat of an extended music video with songs off his ‘VIEWS’ album. The songs featured in the film are: “Weston Road Flows,” “Hype,” “Views,” “9,” “One Dance,” “Controlla,” and “Summer’s Over Interlude.”

Drake – “Childs Play” [VIDEO]

Drake drops a 12-minute cinematic video for “Childs Play” co-directed by himself and Spiff TV.

The video opens with Drizzy literally going to Cheesecake Factory with his video girlfriend Tyra Banks. The two are celebrating their anniversary but the event goes sour when he leaves his phone on the table, and Tyra reads a revealing text resulting in cheesecake being smothered on his face and red wine poured over him.

Drizzy shoots the second scene at Houston’s famous strip club V-Live, where he makes it rain with his OVO and Rap-A-Lot family. The V-Live ladies bust it down on the strip pole and “bounce that shit like whoa.”

It seems the 6 God is going back to his acting days as he has announced he will be premiering his short film ‘Please Forgive Me’ on September 30th. Stay tuned.

Drake Presents Rihanna With 2016 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award At VMAs [VIDEO]

Following Rihanna’s final performance, Drake surprised the crowd as he made his way to the stage to present Rihanna with the 2016 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Drake went in on how he met Rih in 2005 and how big of a star she is and how even though she is older than her, he still very much looks up to her.

The chemistry on the stage was as natural as its ever been with the two sharing a kiss and Drake professing his love by saying, “she is someone I have been in love with since I was 22-years-old.”

In my opinion nobody would’ve been better two present the award than Drizzy. These two are arguably the two biggest stars in the world at the moment.

Past recipients for the award include Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, LL Cool J, David Bowie to name a few.

What an accomplishment, but well deserved! Congrats, RihRih.

Last week we shared a picture on our Twitter of a billboard Drake bought Rihanna to Congratulate her on the accomplishment.

Drake’s Dad Discusses Women, The Summer Sixteen Tour & His New Song [AUDIO]

Last night we talked to Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham on the Power 106 #LIFTOFF. DG, who was at the TD Garden in Boston for the “Summer Sixteen” tour, talked to us about the tour, women and his new song “Kinda Crazy.”

The conversation started with the energy at the “Summer Sixteen” tour which has been crazy. That conversation lead into talk about the ladies on the road and how Drake has to watch himself from pops snatching the women.

“No, he really has to watch himself, bruh,” said DG jokingly said about the women they encounter on tour. “He really does, this is real.”

About the single he said it’s something he had been working on and originally there was no plans for an album, but now he kinda has to keep going.

Listen to a snippet of “Kinda Crazy” HERE.

Drake Brought Out J. Cole, Dipset, Terror Squad & T.I. At Summer Sixteen Tour In NYC

wp-1461594034902

Drake ended his final “Summer Sixteen” NYC show last night with some major stunting in front of a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden.

Drizzy kept the crowd on their feet and roaring as he surprised them by bringing out J. Cole, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Fat Joe, Remy Ma and T.I. to grace the stage. In doing so he used the opportunity to throw more shade at HOT 97 by saying his final night at the garden was “the real Summer Jam.” Ouch.

The beef between the station and the Toronto rapper has definitely been cooking, as Flex used his radio show Saturday night to come at the 6 God with an over 20-minute rant. In the rant Flex questioned Drake’s street cred, fan base, freestyling and writing skills, in addition to other things.

J. Cole who’s had a close relationship with Drake through their careers performed “A Tale of 2 Citiez,” “No Role Modelz” and “Planez.”

Drizzy went on to glorify light-skinned Jermaine by calling him “one of the smartest, greatest, most legendary artists of our generation.”

Dipset came out to rock their city by performing the reminiscent crowd favorites “Hey Ma,” “Oh Boy” and “Dipset Anthem”

Fat Joe and Remy Ma blessed the stage by performing one of the hottest songs of the summer in “All The Way Up.”

Tip did his thing by bringing his energy to “What You Know,” “Whatever You Like,” “Live Your Life,” and “Bring Em Out.”

Drake added fuel to his HOT 97 beef by popping $7,000 bottles of Ace of Spades with the Breakfast Club’s C Tha God, who he once had a long-standing feud with as well.

Pretty much sums it up @cthagod NEW YORK NIGHT FOUR THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT

History don’t get made unless we make it. Salute @champagnepapi great show tonight.

You know what they say, your enemies, enemies are your friends. Guess Drizzy dislikes Flex more than Charlamagne. Bold move.
