We sat in countless studio sessions with Future, Wiz, Ink, Salva, Mike N Keys, DJ Khalil, Jaycen Joshua, etc. and worked on this record until we feel we had it where we wanted it to be. “Ball Like This” celebrates the aspirations of the kid growing up in South Central to the kid creating that new tech start up. I still remember the very first time I heard Self Scientific. I was listening to a Baka Boyz Mixtape which featured DJ C-Minus and he played “Return”. I was blown away! So glad to see these dudes putting out new material again, I feel like they only put out a song a year as a group, but it’s DEFINITELY worth it. Be on the look out for their new album, “Trials of Blackhearted” to be released next week!
