While stopping by the Golden State Warriors practice facility on Tuesday, Dr. Dre spoke to ESPN’s Chris Haynes for a brief interview, where he disclosed some information regarding his long-awaited ‘Detox’ album.
Haynes got straight to the point when speaking to Dre and asked him about the mythical album. Wasting no time, Haynes asked the legendary rapper/producer if ‘Detox’ was permanently shelved and Dre responded by saying, “I’m working on a couple songs right now. We’ll see.”

Dre’s ‘Detox’ album has been rumored since the early 2000s and announced around 2002. From there fuel has continusiouly been added to the fire as pictures of Dre in the studio have surfaced. Following the rumors Dre released “I Need A Doctor” featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey and “Kush” featuring Snoop Dogg and Akon, which were believed to be part of the ‘Detox’ roll out. The Doctor eventually came out and said he was scraping the album and dropped ‘Compton: The Soundtrack’ back in 2015 instead.
