After recently signing to music industry executive Sylvia Rhone’s Vested In Culture label, Casey Veggies has stayed afloat in 2013’s headlines. Today, Casey’s back in the spotlight on Jay-Z’s Life+Times’s “Decoded.” The Los Angeles native explains the true meaning of his song “Whip It,” off his recent mixtape Life Changes.
Before Casey gets all four of his wisdom teeth pulled out, he decided to liberate a new single on his Tumblr. “Energy,” boasting verses from Casey Veggies and Rockie Fresh, blends the MCs sounds together much like the artwork provided. Make sure you download Casey’s Life Changes and Rockie’s Electric Highway. Both fresh and strong starts to 2013.
Produced by Uncle Dave.
Hard to believe that Casey Veggies is only 19 years old. His projects are always fun but on a maturity level that takes some rappers years to achieve. Plus, I’m a fan of his art and movement. With all that being said, HYPTRAK TV spotlighted Young Veggies in a nice sit-down interview filmed at Known Gallery right here on Fairfax in LA. Watch the Los Angeles native discuss his latest mixtape Life Changes, future projects and his thoughts on music industry.
I’m a fan of rappers who release their projects without delay. With that said, Casey Veggies delivers Life Changes right on time. The 13-track project features contributions from Dom Kennedy, BJ the Chicago Kid, Harry Fraud, 1500 or Nothin and more. Stream and download after the jump.
Life Changes out Tuesday, January 22nd.

Check LA king Casey Veggies flowing as only he can over a peerlessly funky Chuck Inglish beat on “Sauna,” available on the Fool’s Gold rap compilation Loosies, out December 18th!

During a studio session in the Big Apple, Casey Veggies recorded a drink-of-choice-titled track, “Smart Water.” This won’t be a part of a his future project but still a sweet listen with a jazzy feel, provided by Chuck Strangers. Listen below.
It’s always a party when the guy to girl ratio is 3 to 20, right? Now that’s Great. Peek in on Sir Michael Rocks, Casey Veggies and Mac Miller partying it up in Rocks’ latest Lap Of Lux-visual, “Great.” Directed by The Topshelf Company.

Coming off the the Live From the Underground tour, Casey hits the Rock the Bells festival in San Bernardino, CA & the Mad Decent Block Party downtown Los Angeles.
A very bearded Emilio Sparks chops it up with Young Veggies. They compare high-school memories, first tour experiences with Mac Miller, meeting Jay-Z. The peas and carrots movement and more. Sparky even gets his own vegetable name. I thought Emilio Eggplant was fitting but ok Casey, your naming skills are better than mine.
