New Music: Rapsody – “Phylicia” Feat. Buddy [LISTEN]

The lyrical prowess known as Rapsody might’ve dropped her best body of work to date in 2017 with ‘Laila’s Wisdom’. Since then she’s been rather quiet but made her return yesterday with The Cosby Show-inspired “Phylicia” featuring Buddy, where the two pay homage to their mothers. They released it on Mother’s Day but it just popped up on my radar today, so my apologies.

New Video: Buddy – “Cubicle” Feat. 03 Greedo [WATCH]

West Coast representative Buddy just dropped his new video for “Cubicle” featuring 03 Greedo. In the video you see Buddy working an office 9-to-5 he’s obviously over. Greedo comes thru and scoops him up as they run the streets. The pair exchange verses over a catchy hook check this joint out.

Smoke DZA Drops New EP ‘Free Smoke’ [LISTEN]

Earlier this year Smoke DZA blazed an L.A. Leakers freestyle and proceeded to drop his fire album, ‘Not For Sale’. Today he makes his return from a short hiatus by dropping a three track EP entitled, ‘Free Smoke’.

DZA has never had a problem getting features to help bring his tracks to life and on these two new ones that’s exactly what he does. On the first track “Fiscal Thoughts” he nabs Wale and Phil Ade for a smooth track and something to ride out to. “Get You Some” features L.A.’s Buddy and on the third track “Energy” he goes in on his lonely.

Buddy Releases His ‘Harlan & Alondra’ Album [STREAM]

Los Angeles rapper Buddy has been around for a while but is has just recently been breaking through to the mainstream. The former Star Trak signee releases his major label debut album ‘Harlan & Alondra’ today, which includes features from Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla $ign, Khalid, and more.

New Music: Buddy – “Black” Feat. A$AP Ferg [LISTEN]

Compton’s very own, Buddy comes thru with his first release of the year on the Jahaan Sweet-produced “Black” featuring A$AP Ferg. The single follows last year’s ‘Magnolia’ EP that gained him some new fans and also was a success if you ask any of his core fans.

He is currently working on his debut album, which will be released with RCA Records after he inked a deal with them recently. This single figures to be the first off the forthcoming debut and it makes sense it features Ferg, who is also signed with RCA.
