Last week Drizzy postponed select dates of his remaining “Summer Sixteen Tour” due to an ankle injury. The ankle injury has now been deemed to be serious to continue the tour, forcing the 6 God to cancel the remaining dates of his summer tour.
The ankle injury occurred during one of his shows, but Drake fought through for the fans, which made it worst. As of today no new dates have been announced or scheduled.
Read a statement from the Canadian rapper’s representative below.
“Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through,” the statement reads. “By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining 3 dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake’s fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can’t wait to get back on stage.”
