Detroit-based rapper/producer Black Milk has been on the scene for a minute and has known for blending funk, hip-hip, soul, and even some rock. He recently released his ‘FEVER’ album and comes right back with the visuals for “Could It Be.”

Black Milk – Sunday’s Best / Monday’s Worst (Audio)

Sunday's Best / Monday's Worst

Black Milk released a truthful 2-for-1 record titled “Sunday’s Best / Monday’s Worst.” In the “Sunday’s Best,” the Detroit rapper recalls attending early morning service while wishing he was at home playing video games. In “Monday’s Worst,” the tempo slows down as he tells the story of a good kid going bad. The double single proves to be a strong start for Black Milk in 2013. Milk’s upcoming album is later this summer.

Available on iTunes.

Adrian Younge & The Delfonics ft. Black Milk & Souls of Mischief – Stop and Look (Remix) (Audio)

delf

I can’t put into words how much I love quality Hip-Hop shit.

“Stop and Look,” the first single off Adrian Younge Presents the Delfonics, dropped back in December and pretty much blew our minds. William’s voice was so pure and Adrian’s symphonic production was so lush. So, we are super pleased to give you guys the remix of that amazing track, which features production by Detroit MC Black Milk and rhymes by Cali hip-hop legends Souls of Mischief. Look out for the album on March 12.

Video: Big K.R.I.T., Odd Future, Curren$y & Black Milk At Billboard SXSW Showcase

I heard Big K.R.I.T. gave a great performance with his live band, Grillade, during this showcase from a few different sources but it will get overshadowed by Odd Future’s “Fuck Billboard” stunt. Don’t forget, K.R.I.T.’s Return Of 4Eva drops March 22nd.

Back to the Odd Future stunt. Tyler, The Creator really dissed the publication of the cover he was just on and stormed off stage.

Tyler said, “Here’s the song you guys all came out to see anyway.” He did “Yonkers.” He then said “You know what, fuck this. Fuck Billboard. I don’t even read that shit. Come see us at Vice” and then ran off the stage. Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis followed. Left Brain jacked off his mic towards the audience. Syd argued with the soundman. Their people came out and grabbed their stuff and the group bounced. People at the front shout “Wolf Gang.” It was bonkers. And it was over. – prefix mag

I need to see them live. Check out the rest of the performance after the jump, including the video of Odd Future storming off the stage.
