On the heels of an emotional interview, where he announced he’s been dealing with depression, feels “sick all the time,” and is suffering from a severe kidney condition, August Alsina drops his new single “Don’t Matter”.

In a Instagram post August said “Don’t Matter” is the first official single off his upcoming, third album ‘DRUGS’. The Def Jam signee will begin his tour July 27th in San Antonio, Texas, regardless of his health condition.

New Video: August Alsina – “Wait” [WATCH]

With August Alsina’s forthcoming album ‘Drugs’ in the works, the New Orleans singer continues to release new singles off the album along with its visuals. Following the video for the title-track “Drugs” last week, Alsina drops the video for “Wait.”

The gentle video shows August in a room singing while two dancers move their bodies to the rhythm of the melody.

“Wait” is the second single off August’s forthcoming album ‘Drugs’, which will follow Alsina’s 2015 release, ‘This Thing Called Love’.

Following the announcement of his forthcoming album ‘Drugs’ earlier this week, August Alsina is beginning to roll out tracks off the album.

On his latest release “Wait,” August wants to see his girl happy that he’s willing to lose her. The New Orleans singer goes on about the difficult relationship with high notes over the melodic production.

New Video: August Alsina – “Drugs” [WATCH]

This week August Alsina announced his new album and dropped the title track “Drugs.” Today the New Orleans singer dropped the visuals for the song, which showcase a plethora of “Drugs.”

Alsina is shown in the video slathered with paint all over as he smokes and pops pills. Ironically, the song isn’t exactly about the drugs shown in the video and more about a love which is as addictive as the strongest drug one can consume.

The video was directed by Alsina himself, along with the help of actress Amber Gray, who is known for her conceptual photography and specializes in beauty.

Alsina’s album ‘Drugs’ is set to drop later this year and is the follow up to his 2015 album, ‘This Thing Called Life’.
