Asher Roth – The Greenhouse Effect Vol. 2 (Mixtape)
According to DatPiff, The Greenhouse Effect Vol. 2 is a “celebration of getting back to doing your thing.” In that case, we say, welcome back Asher Roth! Roth teams up with DJ Drama and Don Cannon once again to bring you the sequel to 2008’s The Greenhouse Effect. This time around we have features from Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, LIl Wayne and more as well as remixes over familiar beats.
“I’ve decided to stray from the path UMG has laid for me and continue on the scenic route. I prefer to relay my music directly to my fans. Show them what it is I see. Share with them what it is I think. I enjoy letting you hear free-flowing ideas recorded in basements and broom closets. Who cares that they will probably never be heard on the radio? I want to be proactive and not reactive and I would rather nothing get in the way of the relationship I have with my family, friends, fans and my music,” shares Roth with DatPiff.
Don’t call it a comeback, just a slight detour. Stream and download after the jump.

Spend a day in NYC with Asher Roth as he buys a new hat and grubs at every corner, which may have seemed like a good idea in the beginning but he pays for it at the end, in his video for “Turnip The Beet.” Directed by Rik Cordero.

Asher Roth Records A Verse For Chuck Inglish’s ‘Convertibles’ At Truth Studios (Video)
We’re expecting to hear Chuck Inglish’s debut solo album Convertibles some time this year and with this new video, where we see Asher Roth laying down a new verse for “For The Love” off the upcoming album, we can rest assured that the album is in the works or close to being done. Seems like Truth Studios has more insider footage to release. Stay tuned for more videos coming out of the L.A.-based studio next Tuesday morning.

Asher Roth ft. Buddy – Roof Behind The Grill (Audio)
I’m convinced the hook for Asher Roth‘s “Roof Behind The Grill” was originally a chant by a cookout cult. Agreed? Stream and download below.
