New Music: Anderson .Paak – “Tints” Feat. Kendrick Lamar [LISTEN]

Anderson .Paak has been teasing a Kendrick Lamar collaboration on his social media for some time now. The Oxnard rapper comes through with the delivery today as he unloads the K. Dot-assisted “Tints” off his forthcoming ‘Oxnard’ album.

“Tints” is a straight vibe that has Anderson and Kendrick getting funky with soulful melodies and dope rhymes over Om’Mas Keith’s production.

“I need tints so I can look at the snakes and posers,” raps K. Dot.

Andy .Paak’s ‘Oxnard’ album is expected to be released before the year is over. A few weeks ago Dr. Dre posted a pic of himself and .Paak, where he holds a hat that says “Oxnard,” with a caption that reads, “Just finished mixing the album. It’s a celebration bitches.”

It’s been about a year and a half since Anderson .Paak dropped his highly-acclaimed ‘Malibu’ album. Over that time he has released a compilation with producer Knxwledge and today he returns with his new one “Automatic.”

The single has .Paak asking questions and addressing interpersonal relationships with conversation. In rare form, Anderson takes a backseat and let’s Taku handle the chorus, while he takes care of the verses with layered vocals.

Anderson .Paak Performs “Come Down” In Church With A Gospel Choir [WATCH]

Anderson .Paak gets with The Recording Academy’s “Believe In Music” campaign to have fans “Come Down” to church.

The Ventura, California native was joined by Gospel Music Director, J’rese Mitchell and a full choir to put a Gospel twist on his single “Come Down” off his ‘Malibu’ project. In the video he is seen playing the drums while he jams out with the choir.

Anderson’s next stop will be at the GRAMMYs this Sunday, where he will perform with A Tribe Called Quest. .Paak is also nominated for Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album. Good luck, Anderson!
