We can now add actor to Action Bronson‘s impressive resume, which already includes rapper, chef, sex symbol. In Action’s newest action-packed viral for “The Symbol,” directed by Rik Corder, the Queens emcee plays an Albanian coke lord, known as “The Symbol.” The single is the first release off the foodie rapper’s upcoming mixtape, Rare Chandeliers, entirely produced by the legendary producer The Alchemist. Action Bronson puts his James Bond skills to use while donning a lovely blonde do in the Rik Cordero-directed video for “The Symbol,” a new single from his forthcoming mixtape, Rare Chandeliers. There’s only a trailer for now but the full video drops Monday.
Noisey‘s latest Back & Forth features Queens rapper Action Bronson and producer The Alchemist in a lovely California beach setting. The two friends and collaborators chit chat about weed, sports, rap stuff and I got lost somewhere after the hypothetical ski jump.
If you’ve ever really listened to Action Bronson‘s words, you’ll notice that it sounds a little like culinary rap. Yes, Action raps about food but he also used to be a chef and don’t the best rappers rap about they know?
According to Ruby Hornet, the story goes that the RH reps told Action that they shall take him to try Chicago’s finest meats and cheeses when he’s back in town. It was a tiny hassle but a table at one of Chi-town’s high-class eateries Blackbird. Throw in some slow-drums-and-sampled production provided by Thelonious Martin and the rest is history. The song is the second single from Closed Sessions Vol. 2, presented by MTV2 Sucker Free and will be available in August.
The L.A. Leakers linked up with Action Bronson and The Alchemist earlier today. I’m expecting something great out of this.

According to FADER, Meyhem Lauren, Himanshu Suri, Action Bronson, Riff Raff, AG the Coroner and producers Tommy Mas and Harry Fraud holed up in a hotel room and made an album. Word? Expect that collaborative EP to drop soon. In the meantime, expect Mayhem Lauren’s Respect the Fly Shit, presented by LRG, to be released this month.

Two nights ago, I downloaded Dr. Lecter, Well Done, YouTube’d cooking videos, and officially became an Action Bronson fan. Food and music are basically the way to my heart. You’ll definitely be seeing more Bronson posts from me. Anywho, Nardwuar caught up with Action Bronson at SXSW and revealed interesting facts about the Queens rapper. Watch and learn.
