Immigration is clearly not a laughing matter everyone deserves to be treated better. On the bright side 21 was released from the ICE facility he was being held at on bail and will await his deportation hearing.
In what’s turned out to be a shocking headline, 21 Savage has been arrested by Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) for overstaying his American visa and claim he’s from the U.K.
Real name Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested early Sunday morning along with his cousin and fellow Atlanta rapper Young Nudy according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
He’s since been placed in a holding cell as part of a “targeted operation” and faces deportation from the U.S. even though he’s lived here since his Elementary school years.
ICE spokesman Bryan Cox said that Savage is actually an “unlawfully present United Kingdom national” who came to the U.S. on a visa in July 2005. His visa expired a year later.

Coming off the release of his critically-acclaimed ‘I Am > I Was’ album, 21 Savage pulled up to “The Tonight Show” for a performance of the album’s standout, “A Lot.” Without J. Cole, Savage ran through the single with a choir backing him for a soulful rendition.
