Pharrell and Jay-Z confront systemic racism on their latest collaboration, “Entrepreneur.”
Accompanied by a music video, the track talks about how hard it is to be an entrepreneur in our country especially for people of color. Skateboard P specifically talks about racial inequalities through his verse while Hov addresses the deprivation of equal representation for minorities in
the media.
Black empowerment is being addressed in the music video as it highlights several successful black men and women such as Tyler, The Creator, Issa Rae, my guy Hugh Augustin, and others.
Overall, the track is definitely what we need at this time as it champions black-owned businesses and while also confronting systemic disadvantages for people of color.
