Having had a dominating year in 2019, where Roddy Ricch enjoyed the long success of “The Box” and Cordae’s GRAMMY nomination for his debut project ‘The Lost Boy’, both 2019 XXL Freshman surprised fans with the release of their collaborative track, “Gifted.”
On the track, Cordae and Roddy celebrate all the things they have accomplished in just a short period of time while also being appreciative of all the blessings.
The track is also accompanied by a dope visual directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett. The two rappers can be seen rapping in a luxurious mansion on the hills as they celebrate life and success.
The powerful music video ends with a powerful quote from political activist Huey P. Newton and a list of names that were shot or killed by the murderous police recently such as George Floyd, Elijah McClain, Breonna Taylor, and others.
