Dreezy Delivers Hardcore Bars On #Freestyle034 [WATCH]

As the year comes to a close a lot of folks are slowing down and waiting on next year. NOT the LA Leakers. Just when you thought we were all done and slowing down, we bring you the latest installment of our freestyle series.

For #Freestyle034 we brought in Dreezy, who happened to be leaving out of town the same night. Before catching her flight she came through and delivered some crazy bars that may have caused some turbulence on her flight.

The up-and-coming Chicago artist showcased her lyrical skills as she rapped about her rise in the industry, securing the bag, her pregnant pockets, coming up but staying humble, and demanded Meek Mill be released from prison.

Kendrick Lamar Says Why He Didn’t Join A Gang, UFOs, “Control” Verse & More In Interview With Howard Stern [LISTEN]

It’s been an eventful year for Kendrick Lamar from having one of the best albums of the year, if not the best in ‘DAMN.’ to his seven GRAMMY nominations to killing every feature he has done this year. In what could be one of his last interviews of the year, K. Dot sat down with the legend Howard Stern to discuss a wide range of topics.

The unexpected nearly 2-hour interview came on Howard’s SiriusXM radio show. Kendrick begins the interview by speaking on his upbringing in Compton, why he never joined a gang, how he’s not respected by all of his peers, and told antidotes.

Kung-Fu Kenny then goes on to explain how he chooses his collaborations and how he chooses to work with certain people, his “Alright” anthem, breaks down all his alter egos, spirituality, desire to work with Anita Baker, a Prince collaboration that almost happened, how his “Control” verse was purely for sport and had no ill-will, and more.

In a non-music related discussion Dot shared a story of when he saw an alien at was six-years-old saying, “I remember this and words can’t describe it. It’s just a surreal moment.”

Grab some popcorn and listen to the full interview below. It begins at the 41-minute mark of the first clip.

Tyler, The Creator Performs On NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” [WATCH]

NPR has been making a lot of noise with their “Tiny Desk Concert” series. For the latest edition the news & entertainment outlet nabbed Tyler, The Creator to perform some of his latest singles off his GRAMMY-nominated ‘Flower Boy’ album.

Backed up by a complete live band and backup singers draped in all-white, Tyler kicked things off by performing “Boredom” and followed that with “See You Again.” He then apologized for not being a talented single as he sang Kali Uchis’ part.

“Excuse my voice,” he said as the crowd laughed. “I can’t sing but I don’t fucking care because it feels good like a warm shower, I think.”

For the finale Tyler performed “Glitter,” and then gave a brief speech before walking off.

“That was cool. I guess we’re done. Thanks.” Before walking away, he continued with his speech. “I’ve only worked with one band and I fucking hated it and I’ve always hated rap music with bands I wanna hear 808s and not an Incubus kick drum.”

According to NPR this was the first time the performance was filmed at night. NPR said it was per Tyler’s request.
