The good folks over at Showtime & Heavy Hitters invited me to come hang out at Floyd Mayweather‘s training facility while he trained for his upcoming fight against Robert Guerrero on May 4th. I got a chance to ask him about his musical taste and if you’re reading this, you probably watched the video already and know what he said. Big thanks to Showtime Sports and the whole Heavy Hitters team!

Joe Moses is definitely one of the first artists to embrace that “ratchet” sound, go to any club in LA and I’m almost positive you’ll hear some Moses whether you know it or not. So of course we had to connect with the homie DJ Drama to present his latest offering, From Nothing to Something 2. No gassing, but this is a great piece of work. Download link goes live at 12p Western.

Music app, Soundtrakcing, has featured my top 10 songs of 2012 on their blog. Now, before you get on my head about my picks, let me explain. I wasn’t allowed to pick mixtape records, only songs on iTunes. It wasn’t recognizing “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” by Kendrick Lamar, so I ended up using “m.A.A.d. city” instead. But I later realized you can do a search for the song if it doesn’t recognize it. So I’d like to swap those 2 songs. Nas & Kendrick had the best 2 Hip-Hop albums this year in my opinion, with that, they also had 2 of the best SONGS this year. Don’t judge me on the rest of my picks you Hip-Hop nerds. I’m a lover of MUSIC. Make sure you go download the Soundtrakcing app. It’s basically a mix of Shazam and a #NowPlaying Tweet. Only difference than it being a Tweet, is that it adds a picture and sound clip of the song to your Tweet which makes it pretty fucking cool
