See the thing I love about music videos is that it gives the chance for a special single to shine even if the album it was featured on was released months prior. In this case, I completely forgot about Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox until I watched his latest video for “When I Was Your Man.” Bruno plays the piano and sings sweetly into the mic, solo on stage, in front of a black backdrop. Even if the video channels a previous decade, the emotions heard through the lyrics are ones that anyone of any of age can relate to.
