Last but not least, XXL releases the official annual XXL Freshman mixtape, hosted by DJ Drama. Seventeen tracks from the freshman ten (ScHoolboy Q, Trinidad Jame$, Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Logic, Action Bronson, Kirko Bangz, Travi$ Scott, Angel Haze and Dizzy Wright) kick off the last leg of XXL Freshman promo. Most of the tracks new (we’ve already heard “Yay Yay” and “Upper Echelon”) and some of the tracks with top notch features. Check out the tracklist, stream and download after the jump.
XXL’s latest freshman class keeps churning out those cyphers. In part 1 of the group cyphers, Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, Ab-Soul and Travi$ Scott take turns on the mic as Jahlil Beats spins in the background.

Ahhh, my favorite rapper/chef. XXL released Action Bronson’s freshman freestyle today. Click play for a minute-twenty of witty wordplay.

This happened when I was working on the MTV Movie Awards last week. Action Bronson and Statik Selektah magic. Funk Flex’s mixtape sounds good to me so far. Peep the tracklist here.
For those of you who are unsure, Kissena Blvd. is a street that runs through Queens, NY. It also happens to be one of the oldest in Queens. Cool, right? Wikipedia never lies.

I love me some Action Bronson and Harry Fraud. This one’s off Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg’s mixtape, New York Renaissance, dropping Thursday. Compliments to the rapper and producer.
“I’m gonna literally shit everywhere.”
Bronson and Kendrick joined Q on stage yesterday at Fader Fort in Austin.

Tomorrow at the magic hour of 4:20pm, producer Harry Fraud will release his mixtape, Adrift, with features from Mac Miller, French Montana, Chevy Woods and more. Today, he gives us a preview of one track. Lucky for us, it’s a track with frequent collaborator Action Bronson titled “More Boogie Boards.” Stream the single below and check back for the full mixtape tomorrow!
