Nas Confirms He’s Releasing A New Album This Year [PEEP]

It was last year on DJ Khaled’s ‘Major Key’ album that Nas hinted at a new album being in the works.

On the “Nas Album Done” track off Khaled’s 2016 album the New York legend raps, “Khaled called me when I was in album mode / So I put it on hold for the Major Key / My album done, n****s, wait and see.” In a recent interview with Billboard Esco confirmed that his 11th album and follow-up to 2015’s ‘Life Is Good’, is dropping this year “for sure.”

Although the album, which remains nameless isn’t as done as he said on “Nas Album Done,” he is putting the finishing touches at his Mass Appeal headquarters in New York City, where he recently installed a studio space recently. There is no exact timetable but a surprise is imminent.

“We might do a single but we might do something different,” he said in his interview with Billboard.

This week Nas dropped a new single called “Angel Dust” off his executive-produced Netflix series “The Get Down”. You can listen to “Angel Dust” here. Aside from music, Nas is working on a BET series based on his life called “Street Dreams”. He’s also signed on to play Raymond “Sunset” Green in the film Monster alongside Jennifer Hudson and A$AP Rocky.
