Album Stream: Childish Gambino – Camp

After three free albums and a few mixtapes, Childish Gambino, also known by his real name Donald Glover (NBC’s Community), is ready to share with the world his first commercial release, Camp. NPR highly suggests you open up a tab for Wikipedia and Urban Dictionary as you listen to the project because his lyrics are “so dense with analogies and comedic references that you’ll need those reference guides to decode some of his verses.” Get your tabs ready and click on the link below to stream the album.

By the way, did you know Donald Glover got his rap alias “Childish Gambino” from an online “Wu-Tang Clan name generator?” Haha, the things I learn on NPR. Pre-order Camp on iTunes.

Album Stream: Pusha T – Fear of God II: Let Us Pray

Rolling Stone gets the exclusive album stream of G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T‘s Fear of God II: Let Us Pray. The sequel to Pusha’s latest mixtape, Fear of God, which dropped earlier this year, has features from Kanye West, Tyler, the Creator, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Juicy J and more. Check out the rest of Rolling Stone’s interview with Pusha T and stream the album below. Fear of God II: Let Us Pray drops tomorrow!

Fear of God 2 builds pretty naturally on the mixtape you put out earlier this year. What was your goal for the follow-up?

My goal was actually just to put the body of work together. The new record was going to be just things that I leaked to the Internet, but I figured that the fans should get it in a better way, rather than just having to download the whole record from off of HulkShare. This is just street music. It’s for the street, it’s for the fans. As soon as the records are done, I usually just give them out anyway, to keep the energy and the intensity going.

My full-length album is coming out at the top of the year and up until then, I feel like people should just hear music, hear me, hear me with my peers, people that they respect. And it’s my solo project. In the Clipse, we were always snobby in regards to working with other people. People never really heard us with a slew of other features. I took this opportunity to give the fans the opportunity to hear me with some of their favorite artists, favorite rappers and new guys coming up, and people who have a presence in different genres of hip-hop.

Imma take y’all back a little bit.” Mac Miller performed in front of a sold out crowd last night at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.
