Migos’ Bad & Boujee finally snatched the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 list this week.  Last week, it had the No. 2 spot from its song getting hit by viral memes throughout the internet.  This is not only Migos first No. 1 song, but it’s also Lil Uzi Vert’s, who is featured in the song, and Metro Boomin’s, who produced the song, as well.

Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, did a shout out to Migos during his Golden Globe speech yesterday night.  Not only that, there’s confirmation of a collab song with him and Migos coming as well.

Let’s see what they have to offer for 2017.

Today, Childish Gambino, a.k.a. Donald Glover, was featured in Lil Chano’s IG post today with the caption “Hawaii then LA, back to work.” with a “#roscoeswetsuit” added to the end.  The hashtag “Roscoe’s wetsuit” refers to Gambino’s Because the Internet screenplay which Chance co-starred in.  Chance and Childish have been teasing a mixtape with the both of them since Gambino’s announcement about it in 2014 hence why this post has gotten people buzzing.

Everyone is hoping Lil Chano and The Great Gambino bless them with their mixtape sooner rather than later.

Travis Scott Kicks DJ Off Stage During Performance

Travis Scott’s New Year’s Eve performance was setting off 2017 in Montreal, Canada at New City Gas Club. About half way through his performance, Scott started to get annoyed with how the DJ was handling Scott’s concert by saying things like “the worst DJ in Montreal is right there on stage yo” and “yo this f***ing trash ass DJ is f***ing up everything I’m doing right now.” The DJ eventually pushed Travis Scott over the edge. Scott ask the unnamed DJ to leave the stage and he DJ-ed the rest of his performance himself.

Note: do not mess up a Travis Scott performance.

Check out the video of Scott’s blows to the DJ below.

Travis Scott Goes Off on Security Guard Taking Away Mic From Fan

Photo credit: Getty Images/CBS Photo Archive

At the Houston Day and Night Festival, Scott decided to hand a fan the microphone to rap some of Scott’s bars.  Once the fan had the mic, the security guard took the mic from the fan and then Scott took the mic away from the security guard.  “Don’t ever f**king take the mother**king mic out of my f**king fan, man,” and continued saying “no security touches a Travis Scott fan, bro.”

Scott got the security guard escorted from securing the stage after the incident.  I guess the security guard didn’t know the 411 of how Scott rocks.

Drake’s One Dance is the first song to reach 1 billion plays on Spotify.  An achievement like this is not unknown to the Hotline Bling artist since his Views album is the first album to receive more than 1 billion streams on Apple Music in September.  Not only is Drake getting 1 billion+ streams, he was also recently nominated for 8 Grammys and Views went quadruple platinum.

Beyoncé Slays ‘All Night’ at Parkwood’s Holiday Party

On Thursday night, Beyoncé had a live band, dancers, and a display of All Night’s video rolling in the back while she performed her newest Lemonade single at Parkwood Entertainment’s holiday part in Los Angeles.  “A year ago we were in the mud, in the swamps filming. Now, here we are. God bless y’all,” is what the Formation singer said before performing All Night to give some love to the audience.  Praise from Beyoncé is not the only gift the audience received.  They also received a Formation-themed goody bag which included Lemonheads and popcorn with a Queen Bey stamp on the bag.

A display of the outfits from the Lemonade film were also part of the holiday experience including the infamous yellow Robert Cavalli dress from Hold Up.  Even though we weren’t there to witness the Queen at work, she definitely tore down the house.

During an interview with Billboard for the latest cover story, The Weeknd said “after this album’s done, we’ll be working.  I have ideas and songs that I want to get out of my head.”  The Weeknd also revealed that he started working on the Starboy album only 6 months ago and then shut down the studio for 4 months to record.

The Weeknd is writing new music even before his Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour starts.  Will The Weeknd be writing and recording music on the road? We don’t officially know yet, but we hope to get some sneak peaks of the new music sooner rather than later.

J. Cole’s ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ First Week Projections are Here

J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only was released Friday, December 9th, and the numbers are ridiculous. The album already has 550,000 units in its first week, and it hasn’t even been a full week yet; 360,000 to 380,000 will be in traditional sales.  These numbers have been beaten by only 2 other albums: Drake’s Views with 1.04 million units and Beyoncé’s Lemonade with 653,000 units.  2014 Forest Hills Drive received only 371,000 units in December 2 years ago.

Not only did 4 Your Eyez Only surpass 2014 Forest Hills Drive’s numbers from 2014, the album got these numbers with no press and no features on the album.

Beyoncé’s “Daddy Lesson” Turned Down for Grammy Country Nomination

“Daddy Lessons” was entered into the Country genre for the Grammy, but somehow, didn’t make the cut.  Who would ever deny Queen Bey?

Even though she performed the song with the classic Country group The Dixie Chicks, the nomination committee still didn’t want to let the song into the Country nomination pool.  You tried, Team Yoncé.  If “Daddy Lessons” was considered, it could have been up for categories including Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

Even though she didn’t get the country nominations, Beyoncé still received 9 nominations for this upcoming Grammy’s.  So, not all hope is lost.
