New Video: Wale – “Staying Power” [WATCH]

From the moment I first heard Wale’s “Staying Power,” I stated that the slow melodic melody was perfect for riding thru the city late night contemplating on your come up and how everyone was sleeping on you.

In classic DMV fashion, Wale laces up in a HH jacket, Columbia Jordan 4’s and a Spyda beanie as he rides around D.C with a beautiful women letting everyone know he has “Staying Power” in this game. The video fits this “tone setting” song perfectly, as clips shift back-and-forth between Wale celebrating with the homies, posted up on the corner to riding with the models, illustrating the complexity of Mr. Folorain.

Wale Releases Surprise ‘It’s Complicated’ EP [STREAM]

Having parted ways with Atlantic Records has allowed Wale to freely release music whenever he wants. His last two releases in “Staying Power” and “All Star Break Up” were his first releases without a major label and he follows that up with a four-track EP called ‘It’s Complicated’.

Released through Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group and his Every Blue Moon label, the EP includes only one feature from Jacquees on “Black Bonnie.” The other three songs “It’s Complicated,” “Effortless,” and “Let It Go” are solo efforts that allow him to fully exercise his talents.

In an Instagram post Wale Folarin describes ‘It’s Complicated’ as “a story about ‘a’ love life.” He goes on to say “Anybody who heart is at odds with the mind. Enjoy.”

He also hinted at a short film for the EP for “Black Bonnie” asking his fans who should play Bonnie and sharing his desire to blow his entire budget on the mini movie.

“I just wanna use my whole next budget to shoot a short film. whole thing .. who should play Bonnie tho?” he tweeted. “Who should direct it? Will they let my black ass in hollywood ? Find out on the next episode of ‘idk what I’m doin.’”

New Music: Wale – “Staying Power” [LISTEN]

Depending on who you ask, people will say that MMG rapper Wale fell off. If you ask others the DMV MC never slipped and is still one of the best in the game. Personally his new single “Staying Power” reminds everyone that he truly is a skilled rapper and a force to be reckoned with.

Using the new single as a platform to state his dominance, Wale raps, “I can out rap my opponents.” With no brashness in his voice, Wale talks his shit and wants everyone to know he should be grouped with the elite rappers in the industry.  Speeding up his flow and slowing it down in his always poetic flow over a chilling beat he definitely eats up this track.

New Video: L.A. Leakers – “FaceTime” Feat. Eric Bellinger, Wale & AD [WATCH]

Our “FaceTime” single has made a lot of noise since being released back in September and been played at different clubs around the world, featured in different ad campaigns, including a recent Fashionova social media post. It’s only right we gathered Eric Bellinger, Wale, and AD for the video, which was shot in the Hollywood Hills.

Shooting the video was as fun as the video looks. Upon arriving at the location for the shoot in the Hollywood Hills the scene was set and everyone was already in character. The video starts with AD and our video girl Jade Ramey, who killed her part. Jade, goes on to replicate her scenes with E, before doing a sexy shower scene that is guarenteed to have you drooling.

Watch the video below and stay tuned for more L.A. Leakers’ singles and videos to follow. We are the culture and will continue to push it.

New Music: Wale – “All Star Break Up” [LISTEN]

Blending both NBA All-Star week and Valentine’s Day, Wale uses his new single “All Star Break Up” to give us a take on both events, as he gets his Omar Epps on with rhymes about love and basketball.

Led by acoustic guitar strings, Wale goes to his poetic self as he serenades about a woman, who is a known heartthrob and breaks up with her boyfriend right before NBA All-Star week with hopes of bedding a baller in Los Angeles.

“You ever lost your main jawn to a point guard or a small forward?” poses Wale. “I don’t believe in Valentine’s. I find it funny. Cupid’s busiest day is four days before the All-Star [game].”
