Hours before releasing his debut album, ‘Teenage Emotions’, Lil Yachty hit the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” outdoor stage for a performance of the retro-sounding “Bring It Back” single. The performance is part of the show’s Mercedes-Benz concert series.

Dawning a vintage powder blue blazer, white pants, and a ruffled retro shirt, Lil Boat ran through his ‘Teenage Emotions’ single along with a full band. The red-haired rapper/singer reenacted the video, with a prom theme, as fans yelled at the top of their lungs.

New Album: Lil Yachty – ‘Teenage Emotions’ [STREAM]

Doubters and namesayers will say that Lil Yachty doesn’t belong in the industry and has an uncanny talent. Lil Boat has surpassed all the hate on his way to the release of his highly-anticipated, debut album, ‘Teenage Emotions’.

Loaded with 21-tracks, Yachty goes through the motions with features from YG and Kamaiyah on “All Around Me,” Diplo on “Forever Young,” Sonyae Elise on “Momma” and Migos on “Peek a Boo,” which Yachty has received criticism for his “She blow that dick like a cello” line. As you know a cello is a string instrument and blowing on it has no effect.

Even with all the hate, Lil Boat has put together a “happy” album. Although he says it wasn’t the easy album to make given all the pressure.

“There was so much pressure in the beginning,” he said on Beats1. “This is what I had to learn and I know I’ll be much smoother on my next album. When I made Lil Boat, my first mixtape, I didn’t have a drop date, a due date. I didn’t have critics rating it. I was just making it. And then when I finished it, I dropped it at my own smoothness, at my own pace…I didn’t even know I was gonna make an album like this. [Now], my only goal is to impress my fans.”
