Abel gives fans what they want in the form of a video for his single, “I Feel It Coming” featuring Daft Punk off his critically-acclaimed, ‘Starboy’ album.

The Warren Fu-directed video is literally out of this world, with the setting appearing to be shot in another galaxy. The Weeknd also stays true to his artistry by showing off his Micheal Jackson-inspired, out of this world dance moves. Fu also adds a nice touch by shooting the clips with grainy, vintage, VHS stylized effects.

The Weeknd is currently on the European leg of his “Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour” with Bryson Tiller and Lil Uzi Vert. On the run he’s linked up with Drake, who he brought out at a recent stop in London and Germany. The North American leg of the tour will include 6lack, Rae Sremmurd, and Belly. It begins April 25th.

New Album: The Weeknd – ‘Starboy’ [STREAM]

the-weeknd-starboy

Fans are giving thanks this year for the release of The Weeknd’s highly-anticipated ‘Starboy’ album.

The Weeknd aburptly announced the album back in September before dropping the album artwork where he wasn’t sporting his trademark dreads. Shortly after he released the title-track “Starboy” and “False Alarm” along with the visuals.

In an interview he said ‘Starboy’ would be his “best sounding” album and shared the inspirations for the album.

“The production feels aggressive but still sexy. The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced,” he shared.

The 18-track LP includes contributions from Daft Punk on two songs, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Lana Del Rey.

Press play below to stream ‘Starboy’ via Apple Music.

In other news The Weeknd hinted at a possible joint-project with Drake saying it was a possibility.

“He came in as my big bro and showed the world what I could do,” he said. “From then on, he’s always been supporting me and I’ve always been supporting him. Behind the scenes, we’re still very close but it’s cool that the world can see us doing our own thing. OVO/XO will always be there.”

Drizzy shared a special message for The Weeknd and his new album on his Instagram. See it below.

Out now!!! Congrats @theweeknd and the whole XO man dem. 🙏🏼🇨🇦

The Weeknd Releases Short Film ‘MANIA’ [WATCH]

Hours before the release of his album ‘Starboy’, The Weeknd shares his short film “MANIA.”

The Grant Singer-directed, 12-minute short film appears to be an extension to The Weeknd’s “Starboy” video, where the Canadian singer along with a group of men are involved in a bank robbery that goes bad. The film begins with snippets of “All I Know” featuring Future, and “Sidewalks” featuring Kendrick Lamar.

Throughout the film a panther appears and Abel is surrounded and seduced by different women inside of a nightclub before things turn bloody and murderous.

The Weeknd – “False Alarm” [VIDEO]

Things get wicked in the Ilya Naishuller-directed video for The Weeknd’s “False Alarm” off his upcoming album ‘Starboy’.

The thrilling visuals take you on a first-person point of view of a violent bank robbery, which is preceded by an explosive, deadly getaway with a beautiful female hostage being the center of attention.

In the end The Weeknd is left badly hurt and has a chance to shoot the hostage but ends up letting her get away with the money from the bank robbery.

‘Starboy’ is set to be released November 25th.

It’s no “False Alarm,” The Weeknd has dropped the second single off his forthcoming album ‘Starboy’.

On the new single “False Alarm” you’ll hear The Weeknd going in and out the different drums and synthesizers, making for an interesting track.

I expect plenty more new songs off ‘Starboy’ before its November 25th release date.

“False Alarm” will be available for purchase on iTunes later today. In the mean time take a listen below.
