Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Robin Thicke, and Keith Urban are the first acts announced to perform on “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night.” Which airs live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Friday, Dec. 6. Nominations in several categories will be announced during the show, airing at 10 p.m. on CBS.

 Robin Thicke has earned his first number 1 album with Blurred lines. 

Robin Thicke’s album-of-the-same-name has debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200, earning the singer his very first No. 1 album. According to BillboardBlurred Lines sold 177,000 first-week copies, which is well above its 135k projection. Thicke’s success also puts him in some prestigious company; this makes him the first artist to simultaneously top the singles and albums chart since Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and Unapologetic in December 2012.

“I wouldn’t say ‘bite.’ I think its more like him and I are inspired by a lot of the same artists that came before us. The James Brown, the Marvin Gayes, the Michael Jacksons. I think it’s narutal that, us being the same age and from the same generation, its just natural that we’re inspired by the same thing. I wouldn’t say he bit at all, I think that’s genuine to who he is and what he likes.”
