Kanye West Releases Highly-Anticipated ‘YE’ Album [STREAM]

Having been under fire in the past few weeks for his political views and open support of Donald Trump, Kanye West looks to capitalize on the attention he drew with the release of his highly-anticipated ‘ye’ album.

As promised the album comes complete with 7-tracks, where he talks about some of his issues like opioid addiction, suicide, infidelity, being bi-polar, and even takes some digs a new rival Drake with lines like “Too close to snipe you (the Lord still shines on you) / Truth told, I like you (Believe it or not, the Lord still shines on you) / Too bold to type you (Believe it or not) / Too rich to fight you / Calm down, you light skin!”

The star-studded track list includes contributions from Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, Young Thug, Charlie Wilson, 070 Shake, DeJ Loaf, Francis and the Lights, Valee, and Nicki Minaj.

Yeezus premiered the album at an exclusive listening party in Wyoming, where he recorded the album. Chris Rock, who has appeared on Kanye tracks in the past introduced the album. Nas, 2 Chainz, Pusha-T, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Fabolous, Teyanna Taylor, Jonah Hill, Lil Yachty, Consequence and of course Kim Kardashian were all in attendance.

Kim Kardashian revealed the album artwork was shot by Kanye on his iPhone on the way to the album listening. It also includes green text that read, “I hate being Bi-Polar its awesome.” Next week Ye will return with Kid Cudi for their ‘Kids See Ghosts’ joint project.

New Music: Travis Scott – “Watch” Feat. Kanye West & Lil Uzi Vert [LISTEN]

Upon returning to Twitter Kanye West used his account for more than pissing people off with his support of Donald Trump and teased Travis Scott’s new single “Watch,” which features him and Lil Uzi Vert.

The highly-anticipated single that was first announced by YE has now been freed by Travis Scott. Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk premiered the Pi’erre Bourne-produced track last night on the Power 106 #LIFTOFF and talked to La Flame about how it came to fruition.

“Uzi just came thru the door and I had my verse half way done and he just started doing it and did his thing,” said Travis. “Ye heard it and was like “yo man!” he just had this verse and then he did his verse,” he continued.

Nipsey Hussle Performs “FDT” With Kanye West “MAGA” Photo In The Background [PEEP]

During a performance of his anti-Donald Trump single “FDT” over the weekend at the Broccoli City Fest in Washington D.C., Nipsey Hussle blew up a photo of Kanye West wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap and made it his background for the performance.

The moment was pretty epic as it was in the nation’s capital and only miles away from The White House. Since coming out in 2016 the politically-charged single has made a lot of noise and sitrred up controversy with scathing lyrics about President Donald Trump Dump.

After the performance Neighbahood Nip posted a photo of the stage during the performance and shared some context with a caption that read, “Performed #FDT in Washington D.C. Picture Speaking A Thousand Words.”

YG, who collaborated with Nip on “FDT” also sent a tweet out the same day where he showed love to Ye, but kept the same stance on Trump. “KANYE WE LOVE YOU. BUT FUCK TRUMP,” he wrote in the tweet.

New Music: Kanye West – “Ye Vs. The People” Feat. T.I. [LISTEN]

As mentioned on my last post Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk world premiered Kanye West’s new single “Ye vs. the People” featuring T.I. before he even released it. The official CDQ version has now surfaced on all platforms.

Following his major trolling of the Internet with the release of “Lift Yourself,” Mr. West comes through with a single about his recent support of President Donald Trump and joining the Make America Great Again movement.

Kanye and T.I. go back-and-forth on the song about Ye’s political views as TIP courts Yeezus about his recent political views and plays the role of “The People.” It’s a brilliant concept and reminiscent of Joyner Lucas’ “I’m Not Racist.”

“I know Obama was heaven-sent / But ever since Trump won, it proved that I could be president.” Kanye kicks in his first stanza before saying later that he is trying to unify the nation. “You just readin’ the headlines, you don’t see the fine print / You on some choosin’ sides shit, I’m on some unified shit.”

TIP then chimes as “The People” rapping, “It’s bigger than your selfish agenda / Fuck who you choose as your political party / You representin’ dudes that seem cruel and cold-hearted / With blatant disregard for the people who put you in position.”

At the end T.I. asks Yeezy to see things through a different lens. “You gotta see the vantage point of the people / What makes you feel equal makes them feel evil.”

Kanye West has already said on his Twitter account that his forthcoming 7-track album, which remains without a title will be released on Friday, June 1st. Stay tuned for more updates as they unfold.

We WORLD PREMIERED Kanye West’s “Ye Vs. The People” Feat. T.I. On Power 106 & Played It For Three Hours Straight [PEEP]

Friday night was special on the Power 106 #LIFTOFF show as Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk premiered a brand new Kanye West record that Yeezus hadn’t even released yet! The unreleased “Ye vs. the People” featuring T.I. was world premiered in a BIG way on the #LIFTOFF with Jus and Milk playing it for 3-hours straight.

Creddy and Milk were the first ones on any radio station in the entire world with the single and did it right by making a movie with it on-air. The L.A. airwaves were on fire with listeners calling in and blowing up our social accounts.

Listeners were in a frenzy on social media and some showed their excitement with tweets and videos on IG, while others were angry Justin and Sourmilk continuously talked over the record, not allowing them to listen or try to rip it for themselves. The majority was upset they they couldn’t get the new Ye without that L.A. Leakers stamp on the audio. (LOL)

I had to make a graphic of some of the hilarious tweets we got from pissed off listeners on Twitter sounding off about the movie that was being made on Power 106.

Shoutout to everyone for tuning in and everyone that understood how major that moment was, as moments like those rarely happen on radio these days. Kanye’s “Ye vs. the People” featuring T.I. is available on all platforms now! Go listen to it without any disruption on the track. [LMAO]

Kanye West Spits A Freestyle About Slavery & “White Dominance” [WATCH]

With the tweets Kanye West has put out this week he should be the last person on earth rapping about slavery and “white dominance.” Yet, in the midst of the controversy that followed his “love” and support for Donald Trump Dump, he invited TMZ’s founder Harvey Levin to his office for a freestyle about the aforementioned topics.

“Hopped off the Amistad and made ‘I’m a God,’” he rapped while rocking Trump’s infamous red “Make America Great Again” hat. “It’s always a lituation when I’m involved / I say what they say when the mic is off…Parents are the strippers, strip kids of their confidence / Teach white dominance / Question your common sense / I’ve been washed in tradition that I’ma rinse.”

It seems that the freestyle is actually a song that may land on his upcoming album he announced last week on Twitter. Whether it will actually land on the album is unclear, as we know Ye is secretive about his music and rarely ever previews it to the public before releasing it.

Watch it below.

Yeezy is lining up a big June with his album dropping the 1st, him and Kid Cudi’s joint album the following week on the 8th, and G.O.O.D. Music’s first lady Teyanna Taylor on the 22nd. He has said he will be the executive producer on all those projects.

Kanye West Forms Group With Kid Cudi & Announces Upcoming G.O.O.D. Music Release [PEEP]

Since getting back on Twitter, Kanye West has been spreading a lot of knowledge and revealing things about his sneakers, clothing, and other creative type things. Today he almost broke the Internet by revealing his new group with Kid Cudi called Kids See Ghost and announcing their first album dropping on June 8th.

The news of Ye and Cudder’s collaborative album and new group comes after their short-lived feud in 2016 when Mr. Rager criticized Kanye and Drake tweeting, “These ni**as dont give a fuck about me. And they aint fuckin with me,” he wrote. “Ni**as keep you close when they see how powerful you are by yourself. When they see your greatness. Out of fear.”

In the past they have been frequent collaborators and worked on a string of hits together like “Make Her Say,” “Gorgeous,” “All of the Lights,” “Father Stretch My Hands,” “Welcome to Heartbreak,” and more. Through the drama Kanye has remained level-headed and referred to Cudi as hid “little brother” and repeatedly showing love to him.

“Gorgeous,” “Welcome to Heartbreak,” and “Make Her Say.” Beyond these collaborations, they developed a “big brother, little brother” relationship.

That announcement was followed by a Tweet saying his own album will be released June 1st and include 7-tracks. Continuing the G.O.O.D. revelations Yeezus said Pusha T’s album will be out on May 25th and Teyanna Taylor’s is set for release on June 22nd.

El Presidenté Pusha T drop the follow-up to 2015’s King Push — Darkest Before Dawn: The Prequel’ with ‘King Push’ coming May 25th. Meanwhile G.O.O.D. Music’s First Lady Teyana Taylor will drop her sophomore that is rumored to be executive produced by Kanye.

More info and Kanye tweets should be coming soon. Keep up with all the latest by checking in.

The 10 Most Anticipated Albums Of 2018 [PEEP]

Last year brought us many gems as far as hip-hop and R&B albums go. We received Kendrick Lamar’s masterpiece ‘DAMN.’, Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’, Drake’s ‘More Life’, Big Sean’s ‘I Decided.’, and even Eminem chipped in with his fourth quarter surprise ‘Revival’ album.

I’m sure there were some artists you expected to drop projects last year that didn’t, as many albums faced delays and others continue to be worked on. With that said I have compiled a list of “The 10 Most Anticipated Albums of 2018.”

In no particular order I have listed the 10 albums I feel the culture needs this year and the general public is yearning for. Let’s get to it.

Screen Shot 2018-01-03 at 12.50.38 AMDRAKE – ‘TBD’

As of late, Drake has been posting several pictures of himself in the studio, hinting at his next album release. The 6 God has been notorious for releasing an album in the first two quarters of the last couple years. Last March he dropped ‘More Life’ and in April of 2016 he delivered his ‘Views’ album.

We know Drake has something in the chamber as he’s one of the hardest working in the industry and he’s recently popped up at clubs and parties previewing unreleased material. There is no title as of yet or official announcement, but we are reaching “scary hours” as he likes to call the lead-up to new work.

j-cole-rec-2017-henryJ. COLE – ‘TBD’

If you take a look at J. Cole’s last few album releases, you will discover he drops bi-yearly. Being one of hip-hop’s current top 5 artists, a new album from him is always received with open arms. In 2016 he gave us ‘4 Your Eyez Only’, which did not disappoint and also earned him his second platinum album with no features.

Being a consciously-woke, introspective rapper, there is surely a lot of material for him to rap about and stuff to get off his chest with the current White House administration and events happening in the world. We need a voice to shell out what we all think and say on the daily, except in a much more calculated manner and with a way larger platform.

kanye-west-zoom-e2f2f1be-34d2-4beb-9aa3-345303935037-1KANYE WEST – ‘TBD’

From rumors of being “holed up” in a studio on a mountain top of Montana to random paparazzi pictures of Kayne West hanging out with Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Pusha T, and others, it’s evident he’s up to something.

The last time he was “holed up” was for the workings of ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’, when he disappeared to an island in Hawaii and spent 24 hours a day at Avex Honolulu Studios, locked down in three different session rooms for days at a time, until it was finished.

Ye seems to be living his best life with his wife Kim and two kids North and Saint, but I’m sure the fire is still in him. He might make some different sounding music with different motives, but expect a new album from him in 2018.

Screen Shot 2018-01-03 at 1.24.06 AMMIGOS – ‘CULTURE 2’

The Migos made a lot of noise with their ‘Culture’ album and performed at virtually every big festival in 2017. Following the album, Quavo and Offset dropped a few singles and collaboration mixtapes, but fans are ready for the collective ‘Culture 2’ album.

Adlibs and all we should be getting that ‘Culture 2’ early in 2018, at least according to what Quavo said at a recent show.

Screen Shot 2018-01-03 at 1.45.42 AMPUSHA T – ‘KING PUSH’

Pusha T has his hands full at all times these days being the President of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. Possibly that is what has delayed his next album, which many thought would be released last year.

The album seems to have a title in ‘King Push’ and Pusha has released a few singles like “H.G.T.V.” and “Circles” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Desiigner, which might be on the album, although they were released in 2016.

Either way, we should definitely get a new album from El Presidentè this year.

Screen-Shot-2016-01-30-at-9.18.14-PMNAS – ‘TBD’

On DJ Khaled’s 2016 ‘Major Key’ album was where Nas’ forthcoming was first teased. The third single “Nas Album Done” alludes to the legend’s forthcoming album being complete and on the horizon, although there was minimal talk about it after that.

Nearly two years have passed and here we are still waiting for it. In an interview with Billboard, Nas discussed the album vaguely saying, “It’s not done until it hits the streets,” leaving us to wonder if it ever will.

Not quite sure what the hold up is, he’s dropped singles and been featured, but maybe sample clearances and signatures is the only thing holding back the Queensbride rapper’s first album since 2012’s ‘Life Is Good’ album.

Screen Shot 2018-01-03 at 1.38.18 AMNICKI MINAJ – ‘TBD’

Nicki Minaj has spent the last year shaking critics for dragging her in the Remy Ma beef and attempted to give her “Queen of Rap” crown to Cardi B, who rose to the scene and dominated in her early stages.

There’s a lot of motivation for Nicki to release a new album in 2018 and being one of the most consistent female rappers/Pop stars/Icons the culture really needs it. Now I’m sure one of you trolls is going to try and argue this, but if you take a look at her track record, you can’t in your right mind argue her accolades.

Let’s hope we get some new fire Nicki Minaj in 2018 with her fast spitting, raunchy raps. With or without the Young Money umbrella, there are more hits in her.

Screen Shot 2018-01-02 at 9.57.55 PMCARDI B – ‘TBD’

Who has a better 2017 than Cardi B? If she has a clone, perhaps the clone. Aside from that there aren’t too many other answers that one could give to a question like that. For peeps sake, Cardi dominated the charts with her debut “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” single and followed up making Billboard chart history.

She recently released her second single, “Bartier Cardi,” which seems to be trending upward on the charts, but the culture is ready for her debut album. Perhaps we will get a full album and not a bunch of one-offs or a mixtape.

Screen Shot 2018-01-03 at 8.06.00 PMSCHOOLBOY Q – ‘TBD’

TDE is one of the most calculated labels in the industry and in hindsight are five years ahead. Last year they focused on Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and other up-and-coming acts. With that out the way, it should be time for ScHoolboy Q to release a new one.

Back in 2016, Q dropped ‘Blank Face EP’, which was a success for him and indications point to him giving the fans a solid follow-up int 2018.

Nipsey-hussle-victory-lapNIPSEY HUSSLE – ‘VICTORY LAP’

With a new Atlantic Records partnership in the fold, Nipsey Hussle is ready to release his highly-anticipated debut album, ‘Victory Lap’. His first single “Rap N***as” has the streets on fire and the hype has only increased.

Nip will drop ‘Victory Lap’ on Friday, February 16th, which is the start of NBA All-Star weekend in LA. Stay tuned.

HONORABLE MENTION:

kendrick-lamar-bio-pic-1KENDRICK LAMAR – ‘TBD’

After delivering such a stellar, critically-acclaimed album in 2017 with ‘DAMN.’, hip-hop enthusiasts are already craving another Kendrick Lamar album.

Not sure if we will actually get it, but it shouldn’t be so farfetched considering there was rumors of a second K. Dot album dropping a week after ‘DAMN.’ did.

Hov & Ye’s Relationship Is Highlighted In “Public Enemies: Jay-Z Vs. Kanye West” Documentary [WATCH]

jay-zkayne

Channel 4 in the United Kingdom finally debuted the highly-anticipated “Public Enemies: Jay-Z Vs. Kanye West” documentary, which highlights the relationship between Hov and Ye. With commentary from people close to both rappers, it shows the falling out of the one-time frequent collaborators and their ups and downs.

Including “unseen footage and unheard testimonies” the documentary digs deep into the friends-turned-foes and chronicled rivalry. If you recall things began to go sour when Ye attacked Hov at a “Saint Pablo Tour” stop saying, “Jay-Z, call me, you still ain’t called me. Jay-Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man.”

Ye also went on to criticize Beyoncé at a show after he lost Video of the Year at the VMAs, by alleging Bey was playing politics with MTV saying, “Out of respect, MTV told me, ‘Mr. West, out of respect to you, I will let you know that Beyoncé is winning the V.M.A. tonight for “Formation” over “Hotline Bling” and “Famous.”

In the documentary a conversation is brought up that Jay only signed Kanye to use him for his beats, but never actually intended to allow him to release a full album as a rapper. Jay allegedly tried to stop Ye from dropping “Through the Wire” and only fully supported after the success of the record.

On Jay’s ‘4:44’ album he comes for Kanye on the single, “Kill Jay Z,” where he raps, “You got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without blinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?”

Trailer For “Public Enemies: Jay-Z Vs. Kanye West” Documentary Surfaces [WATCH]

jayz-kanyewest-news-article1220121

Once upon a time Jay-Z and Kanye West were a killer duo known as The Throne. The frequent collaborators had a long-standing relationship dating back to the early 2000s, released a collaborative album, toured together, and Kanye even paid ode to Hov on his ‘Graduation’ single “Big Brother.”

Since then things have gone south for Jay and Ye’s friendship. An upcoming documentary called “Public Enemies: Jay-Z vs. Kanye West” will air on Britain’s Channel 4 network. Highlighting the ups and downs of the friends-turned-foes, the documentary will show “unseen footage and unheard testimonies.”

It’s now publicly known when the relationship between Jay and Kanye began to go sour, but last year at a show Ye put on some show antics and attacked Hov saying, “Jay-Z, call me, you still ain’t called me. Jay-Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man.”

Ye would also go on to criticize Beyoncé for alleged award show ultimatums and playing politics after he lost Video of the Year to her at the MTV VMAs. ““Out of respect, MTV told me, ‘Mr. West, out of respect to you, I will let you know that Beyoncé is winning the V.M.A. tonight for “Formation” over “Hotline Bling” and “Famous,” he said.

Hov would then go on to throw darts at Kanye on his ‘4:44’ single, “Kill Jay Z.”  “You got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without blinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?,” raps Jay.

Legendary producer/DJ Clark Kent is shown on the trailer saying, ““One is a New York street dude, the other dude is a mama’s boy from Chicago.”

“Public Enemies: JAY-Z vs. Kanye” will air Monday, July 31st at 10 p.m. on Channel 4 in Britain.

Watch the trailer below.
