Freddie Gibbs & Madlib Connect On Joint Project ‘Bandana’ [STREAM]

Years after their classic album ‘Piñata’, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib reconnect and return with their long-awaited second joint album, ‘Bandana’.  

With the legendary Oxnard producer and J Dilla collaborator supplying lush, textured and jazzy soundscapes for the infamous Indiana MC to do his thing, the duo is in tip-top form. Following the duo’s standout singles “Crime Pays” and “Giannis,” it’s not a surprise as the LP features top-tier artists in Pusha T, Killer Mike, Yasiin Bey, Black Thought and Anderson .Paak.

As usual, Gibbs’ street-ready lyricism sounds like a perfect soundtrack HBO’s “The Wire.”

Curren$y & Freddie Gibbs Drop Their Alchemist-Produced ‘FETTI’ Collab Project [STREAM]

Curren$y and Freddie Gibbs give their fans a treat with no tricks this Halloween with their anticipated collab project, ‘FETTI’. The project arrives after it was first mentioned last year and couldn’t come at a better time with both rappers spitting at high levels.

The 9-track project was entirely produced by Alchemist, so you know the production is on point. Curen$y and Freddie handle all the rapping on the featureless LP and the track “Willie Lloyd” and “Bundy & Sincere” are definitely the standouts for me.

New Music: LNDN DRGS – “Tomorrow” Feat. Freddie Gibbs [LISTEN]

Since joining forces in 2016 to form LNDN DRGS, Compton rapper Jay Worthy and Canadian producer Sean House have been consistently making funky slappers. On their newest single they summons Freddie Gibbs to spit a hot verse on “Tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow” will be on the duo’s rerelease of ‘AKTIVE’, dropping this Friday, July 27th.
