New Video: Travis Scott – “Way Back” [WATCH]

travis-scott-wb-video

One day after his ‘Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight’ album goes platinum, Travis Scott unleashes the video for “way back” off the album.

The Travis Scott-directed 7-minute video begins with Houston Rockets’ baller, James Harden sitting in his LA mansion watching television on six different flat screens as Stephen A Smith is heard calling him “disingenuous”. From there he’s back in Houston in a not so luxurious pad watching television as Smith continues to ramble before going outside to shoot hoops.

Eventually Travis is shown playing a video game as James Harden, while Harden is shown upside down singing Kid Cudi’s lyrics on the song. Cudi and Swizz Beatz, who are featured on the song don’t appear in the video.

Travis dropped the video on his Twitter with a caption that read, ““WAY BACK VIDEO, I DID THIS FOR A PROJECT I DID IN HOUSTON A WHILE AGO. HERE U GO.”

Yesterday both Scott’s ‘Birds’ and ‘Rodeo’ albums went platinum. IT’S LIT.

Travis Scott Drops “Birds In The Trap” Short Film [WATCH]

travis-scott-bitt-film

Travis Scott capitalizes on the success of ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight’, with a short film inspired by the album titled, “Birds in the Trap.”

In collaboration with Apple Music, Scott reflects on life and death in the nearly 13-minute film directed by Fleur Fortune. The film begins with a near scuffle in the club, where his girl interferes and reprimands the rapper for his behavior. That prompts Travis to hop out the car and go his own way, which results in a tragedy.

Throughout the film music from the album is played. The album recently surpassed 1-million streams on Apple Music. Watch the film in its entirety HERE.

Travis is currently on his “Birds Eye View Tour” venture, which began March 10th in New Orleans. He is also prepping his next album ‘Astroworld’, which he recently described as his best work yet.

Travis Scott Performs On “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” [WATCH]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAFz9WjiEQg

Travis Scott paid “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” a visit to perform a medley of hits off his hit-album ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight’.

With red lights in shining on him, smoke around him, bird cages, and a big bird in the background, Scott performed “Sweet Sweet” and “Goosebumps” without Kendrick Lamar.

Even with the GRAMMY snub dissapointment, the rapper is focused on delivering new music for his fans. He was recently featured on Gucci Mane’s “Last Time” and Kid Cudi’s “Baptized In Fire,” which is set to land on Cudi’s forthcoming album.

Travis Scott – “Swang” (Remix) [LISTEN]

swang

Travis Scott remakes Rae Sremmurd’s “Swang” with a remix of his own.

On the track La Flame gets his auto-tune on hitting similar notes as Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee on the original version of the song. DJ Chase B dropped the P-Nazty-produced track. There’s a rumor going around that Scott and Rae Sremmurd had the same beat, but the latter dropped the song first.

Since the release of ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight’, several Travis Scott songs have surfaced on the Internet. Last week someone dropped a fake Trav album titled ‘Days Before Birds’, which his reps have called an “unofficial release.”

The 18-minute video includes many “antidotes” and footage of him working on his now No. 1 album, ‘Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight.’

Who would’ve thought Scott watched “Space Jam” in the studio? Whatever gets the job done! Big ups TS on having the number 1 album. Hard work pays off.

Travis Scott is replicating the same trends as other Apple Music radio shows. After premiering three new songs on his first episode of .wav radio last week, Scott is back with “Black Mass.” The trend of dropping new music has stayed consistent thru the first two episodes of the show. Let’s see what he does next week.

With the launch of his .wav radio show on Apple Music’s Beats1, you know Travis Scott was gonna release some new music.

“The Hooch” is one of the three songs he dropped aside from “In Common” Remix featuring Alicia Keys & Kanye West and “No Limit” Remix featuring Usher.

Travie will be hosting a .wav launch party tonight in Los Angeles where he will premiere the videos for “90210” and “Pick Up The Phone” featuring Migos & Young Thug.

It is unknown as of now if “The Hooch” will be on ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight,’ which La Flame announced on his show will be dropping August 26th. Keep it locked for the coverart and tracklist.

Travis Scott Announces .Wav Radio Show On Beats1 [AUDIO]

travis-scott-zane-lowe-beats-1-august-2016_ou70uw

Travis Scott went on Apple Music’s Beats1 Radio today and talked to Zane Lowe about his forthcoming album ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight,’ while also announcing he’ll be hosting a radio show on Beats1 titled .Wav. Seth Rogen will be the special guest on his first episode.

“[He’s] one of the illest actors, writers, and directors of all fuckin’ time,” he said about Rogen.

The launch of .Wav Radio will be accompanied by a free party in Los Angeles, where he will also premiere the videos for “Pick Up the Phone” featuring Migos & Young Thug and “90210.”

T. Scott didn’t give an official release date for ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight’ but he did say he’ll have more information about it on the first episode of his radio show. I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that he’ll drop the album live on his radio show. Keep an ear to the streets and eyes on this domain, but in the mean time listen to the full interview below.
